a Canadian 4 pack...

I need to go get some more crazy cheap duty free booze while the exchange rate is super low.
Well, the British Pound hit a 7 year low the other day... Might want to import some good Scotch Whiskey also.

WinGameStore has another set of flash sales... but its mostly the same I posted the other day. I guess that's better than not having any at all... but still.

Anyhow, they have Killing Floor 2 for 1/2 off. $14.99 (link) (This ties the record low for ITAD, and is also one game which seems to be cheaper to buy a copy at a time than in bulk when sales roll around. Best 6 pack buy price is like $16.67 each.)

It's not, they just scrape the underside of your keyboard drawer. Add a little water, squirt into a taco shell and you've got a quesalupa. You should probably mention to them that it would be more efficient just to mail you the shells to fill directly.
HA! Joke's on you, I don't have a keyboard drawer.

jelly of people fakeybroing a quake mod/ xbox live level indie game? Like I said, it probably is fun, but $15 fun? tops its bundle BTA fun. Maybe on the outside humble monthly fun with another good anchor game
Shows what you know... it's an Unreal Tournament mod.

So... not to break up all of the fake cheese and hot pocket talk, but to break up the fake cheese and hot pocket talk...

Does anyone have a useful opinion or know if the HyperX Cloud II gaming headsets are any good? Amazon has a bundle with a Rainbow Six Siege (Uplay) code for $69.99. I'm kind of tempted since I'm looking for a new set. I've used a pair of Astro A40s with the mix amp, but they sadly died long ago. I'm currently using the Sony Gold Wireless headphones, but they're not well made (plastic, surprise!) and sort of falling apart.
I know I'm late on this, but if it helps you or anyone else make a decision on these in the future, they are great. I've gone through a bunch of headsets in my day, especially back when I was playing WoW, and these are the most comfortable set I've ever owned. The reviews don't lie about the comfort. They are probably a little heavier than the cheapies (depending on what you're used to), but they use a decent amount of metal in the construction and are solid. I like the detachable mic too, so it doesn't constantly get in the way. If you use a headset a lot and want something comfortable that sounds great, these would be on my short list.

Thanks to this thread I had shame and regret for dinner tonight. By which I mean Taco Bell.
Enjoy your breakfast:

Oh, look...

Some kind of stripped-back version of Forza 6 they're calling Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is coming to the PC:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-03-01-report-forza-is-heading-to-pc

Since it's Microsoft and given Quantum Break PC - I'll guess it'll probably be W10 OS exclusive, W10 Store Exclusive + not be on Steam. We'll have to wait to see what Microsoft says.
I'm on my way to post about this... Not so keen on it being stripped down but I'm intrigued.

Been wanting Forza on PC for what seems like a lifetime now.

another Win10 exclusive attempt to make Win10 relevant.  I wonder how much money, time and man power they spent to make shit like this happen.

HELLO MICROSOFT? Instead of costly B.S. like this, why don't you devote your resource tomake Win10 more stable, more open/accessible and more gamer-friendly?  In short, make it even better than Win7.

Just make it appealing for us to adopt your "free" O.S. and you don't have to pull this exclusive B.S.

Honestly, why wouldn't they make it Windows 10 exclusive. They want more to people to move to their latest OS just like any other company would. I'm just happy that we are getting Microsoft games again on PC. Very much looking forward to Killer Instinct.

Also what issues have you been having? I haven't had any problems really with Windows 10. I actually finished Fallout New Vegas with only maybe 2-3 crashes on it (Keep in mind this is with the community fixes and patches)

And it's official

Edit: Future Forza titles releases on PC on the same day and date as console.

This is awesome! I hope Forza Horizon comes over as well.

They just did make it more ppealing IMO. They're releasing their biggest titles on their OS lol. It makes perfect sense they'd be exclusive to the OS since the games are published by them directly.

And what are you talking about stable, open/accessible, gamer friendly? I would argue that its ALL 3.

Ive had Windows 10 installed since the night it released. I have yet to come into a problem with any game Ive installed on it aside from a compatibility issue with a game that the dev fixed quickly. Your gripes are non-existent from my perspective. Its at the very least as good an OS right now as 8.1 was and is only getting better. The one area that I can see people complaining on is the privacy issues but the telemetry can be turned off. Ive had no stability problems whatsoever and 99% of things Ive installed have worked fine. Its easily the best launch of an OS that I can recall in my lifetime and thats going back to Windows 95 which was the first OS I ever installed myself.

DX12 is W10 exclusive, if you are a gamer and want to play games that require it, you're going to be forced to go to W10 eventually anyway.

What does it include? I enjoyed playing it on Xbox, but I never finished them.

The OS is still new. Theres going to be kinks and it should be of no surprise. So one 15 year old game not working is enough to blow off the entire OS in one swoop? There's also W10 fixes on the Steam forum for that game. Some fixed it by running it in Windowed Mode.

I don't stress over the +1s BUT I do have a hard time remember what games I own... Which is the main reason why I prefer steam. I can look it up on my phone for those 3 AM glitches while at work.
I get like that too but the only stuff I have at Uplay is Ubi stuff, which is kind of a duh as far as where I have it if not on Steam, just like for EA games it's kind of a duh that I have a bunch on Origin.

It's not like I have to go hunting around until I finally figure out that I have Assassin's Creed on Get Games Go or some shit.

Indie stuff hell no, I'm not buying that shit outside of Steam but for the two 800 pound gorillas it's pretty clear where I have their games at. And I'm not going to start buying non Ubi crap at Uplay or non EA crap at Origin unless it's a Steam key.

Agreed, this looks closer to a red letter day for PC gaming than the coming of the antichrist. (Wait, MS is involved it could be both.)

I don't see myself replacing steam anytime soon, or ever, but competition is a good thing and I think we all agree that Valve could use some.

Yeah, I mean I get the tin foil "never gonna install windows 10" crowd being upset because they want to be able to play all the new games on the copy of Windows XP they bought in college, but for those of us who keep up with technology, it's so damn easy. Windows Store is built in the OS and it's just a matter of clicking. Plus I'm pretty sure these will end up really cheap eventually in another big MS sale.

My wife is having a lot of issues on her laptop after updating to win10. I did a clean win7 install before updating to win10. Lot of freezes and black screens. I'm about to reinstall win7.

Won't update to win10 on my desktop until it is absolutely necessary.

Thats a fair starting price point. Im not getting it cause wtf ever, but I definitely like this route MS is going releasing their games on PC.
Eh, I'm waiting for that Fable II remaster and maybe MechAssault. . .

I think they've probably got a LONG way to go before we could call Windows 10 competition for Valve. I hardly ever use the XBOX app as it is and Microsoft isn't really going out of its way to incentivize us to do so. Releasing stuff on the Windows Store is fine and a nice alternative revenue stream for the company, but the XBOX app is about as useful as the Games for Windows application that preceded it.

Does she have enough VRAM?

Nice, Gears and Forza, another reason to justify getting rid of my Xbone. Wouldn't mind one good Halo game for it, I fell out of love with that series awhile ago, but playing it with 60fps+, 1440p, 144ghz, and dedicated servers might help. Maybe they could port the Master Chief Collection and you know, actually make it work properly?

Anyways, I will wait for a sale for Gears. And Forza, I saw something that said Free Download in the video, did I miss something or will this be a limited version or microtransactions up the ass?

I would be happy with both of those... Too Human too but that's a pipe dream in itself.

As for MS being true competition right now to Vavle? I don't mean it as in today but it's a step in the right direction and if they can draw third party publishers to PC, like they are hoping too, that typically release only on console with a "quick" "few steps" then they are more likely to be better competition than Uplay or Origin.

But really even today does anyone consider Uplay or Origins real competition to Steam? Not really. (So certainly not right now to the Windows Store also.)

Do a clean install on window 10 after installing it.

My mother and sister laptop had the same problem.

The game was release so random without any dates.

I'm always so worried about the multiplayer community being alive or not on Microsoft's / Gfwl games since people tend not to use any service that isn't Steam now.

Yeah, it's not real competition. If all they have are cross platform games (Xbox One exclusives), it is only going to be a supplemental client, which is more than fine. It's better Windows 10 only than no Quantum Break, Forzas, Gears, etc at all on PC so I'll take it personally.

Hopefully the client and store does get better overall, including but not limited to interface, features, and sales.

I know, I have been following it for awhile. They were weirdly quiet about it which also worries me. Should be hyping this stuff up. This game was one of the last I purchased for my Xbox One, as it was on sale for like, $20 for a physical version, so I will probably be picky on the price. Fortunately, I only played like an hour of it, so it will still be pretty fresh when I revisit it on PC. Hopefully there will be people to play with.

unstable? last thing you hear about w10. vast majority of upgrades are smooth as silk. I just want it to keep it grubby paws off my data and stop slipping your telemetry bs as a critcal update.

that what M$ was saying when Win8 came out..

I am not expecting the 2nd coming of Christ for Win10 but can we just have the same stuff working like before AT LEAST?

does GCU work for the xbone games on the MS store?

when did this become the consoletard thread?
Apparently the cereal thing does because some dude in the Gears of War Windows 10 thread was talking about wanting to try to use them Sugar Smacks box tops to buy it or whatever.

Just got my Logitech The Division keys so yay.

Also Forza being on PC removes most of my reason for owning an XB1 other than that by now I own a bunch of other stuff for it too...

I think more testing is required for AAA win10 store games so take the below information with a grain of salt. This was found out from testing the new tomb raider win10 store version. If these limitations are true, I would only buy the win10 store exclusive games.

"To begin with, games purchased through Windows Store are built on Microsoft's Universal Apps Platform, and not the conventional desktop-based executable. The game is essentially a "modern UI" app, and not a conventional Windows application. This has great limitations - no NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFire support; no real fullscreen mode (just borderless windowed mode or pseudo-fullscreen); and V-sync being always-on. Other major downsides of UAP apps include no support for modding, and mouse macros. What's more, since UAP apps don't have *.exe extensions, you can't add them to Steam, and so no Steam Controller support. The Store in itself doesn't have a good refund policy along the lines of Steam and Origin limited full-refund policies; and you'll never be able to play your games on Windows versions older than Windows 10."

Uplay is so spectacularly stupid.  They sent instructions that it was a promo code and you had to "purchase" the game from the store with it which doesn't work.  It's just a key.  Mormons.

So basically it's set up to be a bigger disaster than GFW.

Well not for mobile and casual games, which is what it was meant for and those will stick around regardless because the Surface tablets are selling relatively well.

They just need to do some work on the AAA side of things which is a very recent thing for the Win 10 store.

Deciding to shove AAA games in to the framework you designed for mobile games has nothing but success written all over it!
