Welcome to the Japanese niche games deals and discussion thread!  Feel free to talk about local and import Japanese games here.  Our goal is to maintain a thread dedicated to active deals on niche games including RPGs, Visual Novels (VN), Shoot'em ups (Shmups), Musou, etc.  Also maintained are pre-orders for standard, limited and collector's edition games with key release dates provided.

I've wikified the thread to make it more friendly and open to others that can actively update with important information. You can find the wiki post directly below this one.

NOTE:  Please, leave the censorship discussion away from this thread.  It's common for japanese games to have questionable content outside of the country.  We want to keep discussions to the game itself and not about cultural/societal tolerance.

You can basically friend any of our members, or any moderator, and you will be able to request to join the community under "Communities friends are in" tab, and a mod will approve your request.

You can also leave your PSN ID in the thread, saying you want to join, and we can invite you directly as well.

The gameplay in the trailer of Trillions looks severely lacking.  Just a bunch of menus and micromanagement.  It seems very likely that this game will be reviewed and received poorly.

I wonder if I should get Senran Kagura Estival Versus on launch or not...pretty much every niche japanese game this past year or two has went straight to Best Buy's clearance sale. GCU on top of the clearance has me thinking twice lol. Then people be like "just received it in the mail and it was the launch edition," and I be like DAMNIT!!

Ended up ordering that Trillion SE off the Iffy Store, the game doesn't look too bad. Plus, I probably won't have time to play it. (Puts it in the never ending backlog when it arrives...)

Game looks ok, I suppose. But I don't understand why they didn't just do Metroid Prime Hunters 2. Or don't even call it that, keep it the way it is called now but instead of the nendoroid looking characters, make them how they were in Metroid Prime Hunters. I think that would have been a lot better.

It doesn't matter what anyone says, or how they respond to this woman, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I've watch several of her early video's that she produced after taking funds from the public, and in my opinion she should be up on charges for stealing, but that's my opinion. Almost nothing she states is based in "facts" but more so her hatred, or supposed "hatred" of men running the gaming industry and the lack of equality for women.

Equality is one thing, spewing ignorance and hate without actually facts is just making bigger issues. Open and equal debate should be honored and respected, her videos allow for neither. She's entitled to her opinion, and so am I. There are many causes and people who I donate funds to(men, women, children and everyone in between), I would never give this lady a dime, for her thoughts and opinions.

If every man in the world told her tomorrow she was right, she would still be complaining as that is the kind of person she is, they are not happy unless they are stirring the pot. I'm just stating what she wants me to, so yes, you are correct. I'm feeding in to her notions, as it doesn't mater one way or the other. I call em, as I see em.

 
So EU gets Estival versus the 18th? so if persay you ordered off ricedigital for the le, you wouldnt get it till the 18th correct? If so i might just have to get a US copy from work.

Correct, but I think getting it on the 18th is a little unrealistic especially if you're shipping overseas to the US using the free shipping. In which case you should probably add 2-3 weeks.

Alright! Fantastic! Something to change up my WoT Girls un Panzer one with. Let's hope they have a 10% off everything in cart sale again soon. Some of these icons look hilarious too.

I think the Resident Evil 20th Anniversary theme is free also, I think I saw it in the PSN thread.

Also, Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is on sale on PSN for both PS3/Vita, but you can get a physical copy off Amazon for less. (Props to FriskyTanuki) - I've imported Ignition too, and I think it's very import-friendly if anyone is interested.

I usually don't like to get involved with these drama talks, but there's a girl in my WRT 302 class, (hope you read this Nessi) who likes to bring gender roles, and un-equality into every lecture and class discussion. Just kinda tired of it... there, that's my rant.
