PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Yeah and his immediate reaction was to run off and do his own thing without anybody else's input. The only person who knew what he was up to was Bruce--he kept his actions a secret from everybody else. His behavior was completely consistent there with his characterization since Iron Man 1. He's shown over and over again that he doesn't believe there's a higher authority he should abide by. The only way I'd believe him making a complete turnaround from that to "Oh, we should totally have governmental oversight for all super heroes!" is if he was being mentally controlled by somebody else or if he's mentally unbalanced which would show up in other ways as well. It doesn't fit the characterization or narrative of the movieverse at all otherwise.

As a comparison; the comic version of Civil War was covered in over 100 issues. Some were directly in the Civil War series but there were a ton in the associated comics for the different characters that were involved.

We'll see how the movie plays it, but so far my expectations are pretty low on this one. If they'd broken it up into two or three long movies I could see it feeling very rushed but reasonable, but shoving the entire conflict into a single 2-3 hour film just doesn't seem like it could work.

You realize that probably a good portion of those 100 comics is filler stuff meant to stretch out the line to sell comics over several months/years right? No reason to shove all that into three whole giant movies, especially when you only have access to a small portion of the entire roster.

Or they could just do it like the comic books:

tony initially supported the act because he figured the legislation would just get worse than the bill they were looking at. and he wanted to get the jump to make sure that him and a couple other smart people would have the opportunity to mold the bill in their favor.

They're obviously going to have to change a couple things about how everything in this movie plays out because of the different formats, but I don't think there's too much cause for concern yet. It's still believable enough that tony would side with one way of thinking, and steve with another, then superheros wind up doing something dumb to escalate the situation to a fight.

Hey! Shut up!

Zax sauce is good, but their chicken is not in Chik-Fil-A's league. It is all flimsy and rubbery.

If you have to have sauce on it, it kind of points out that the chicken is not as good doesn't it?
I like the zaxbys club or whatever, but yeah, after the initial excitement of getting a couple in IN, I had to lay off because A: it's probably going to kill me. and B: the chicken isn't as tasty as it should be.

I mean if I had to choose one to eat without sauce, yeah it'd be chikfila. But white meat chicken is bland, no matter how good you are at cooking it. If I'm going to eat chicken without sauce, it's going to be a fried chicken leg or thigh. It's a must for me to have a dipping sauce for white meat chicken.

Anyone considering Pikmin 3 from the new batch of Nintendo Selects ($19.99 MSRP) releasing today better decide quickly--it's already OOS at Amazon and Best Buy only has store pickup available.

Did they not lower the price of all of those games on the eshop to match? Wouldn't be as good as getting it with GCU, but still a lot better than what you'd had to have paid up until now.

I still don't get how Pikmin 3 held its value so long anyway, didn't everyone get it for free during the MK8 promo? It was so easy to get codes for all the games that way.

Gator, I guess Hunahpu is a special beer Cigar City makes and is really good? Anyway we are probably going to this this tomorrow during our escapade around the bay.

EDIT: Not sure how since I bet the tickets are sold out, but one of the guys says they know people. So maybe we wont go or maybe we will. Who knows.
I will be surprised if he really knows people to get you tickets. The beer is fantastic. It is my favorite actually, but I am not paying those insane ticket prices when I really want the beer and do not really care about the fest.

If by "everyone" you mean CAGs who paid attention, then yes. I don't think all Wii U owners knew about that promo.

Also, some people prefer to own physical copies of games, and Pikmin 3 had a low print-run.

I'm not sure how you get from "I don't think Civil War works in the movieverse" to "They should add more characters and they should all kill each other!" but yeah I guess we're on opposite sides on that one. :whistle2:k
I actually got it from reading your posts which is a terrible thing to do and I don't recommend it to anyone else.

Yeah, but it kinda shows how pointless the Civil War movie is. Oh, look! ...seven guys fighting in a parking lot. Holy shit, it's on now!

The movieverse just doesn't have the ability to justify the Civil War concept. The small cast, the lack of buildup from previous movies, and the bizarre characterization twists just completely undermine the attempt.

Stuff with bad guys that never die is difficult for me to watch. I always want them to be killed and the shitty hero types are too lame to do the deed. "Oh, no, I can't kill bad guys! It'd be horrible of me to kill somebody who is going to kill hundreds of people!"

So annoying.

Yeah I've heard that hundreds of times(though I usually see it as "you're in the clear" as opposed to never fear), but I just always assumed it was because you have a buzz from the beer and thus kinda ignore what your limits may be with the liquor and end up puking your guts out.

It's not that I get sick, just feel foggy and have headaches.
Your liver gets used to processing the lower amount of alcohol you are consuming. Then it gets hit with that huge concentration from the booze and cant keep up which tends to cause the adverse affects.

You start out with the higher ABV booze then the beer is no issue.

Now, this little saying does not factor in for if you start out slow on beer then start shotgunning more beer after some time has passed, it will be the same issue. That is why pre-gaming is usually a pretty dumb move.

That blue vita does look cool, but I'll keep my original 3G model until it conks out on me. Even then, I probably wouldn't get a replacement and I'd just use the PSTV to finish off any games I have and then stop buying Vita games.

Nice. This is useful info people. Put this in the OP Tyler.

And none of the (attractive) waitresses you oggle during your drunken lunch breaks will sleep with you. Let's not rain on each other's fantasies, though.
Wait, you fantasize about Munky?

And I got news for you, they dont have to be attractive. None of them will sleep with me!

I wish I could get some of those Cigar City beers. Somebody should ship me some.
I have multiple of most years of Hunahpu including the first year. I paid $20 per bottle. I am guessing many of those would sell for $100 or more at this point.

I do not have the last couple of years because of how they changed the fest. I do miss going, but it has gotten too insane.

This is something I can get behind. Would be a better alternative to PSNOT book club.
Shipping beer USPS breaks federal law. UPS and FedEx won't do it if they know it is beer (yeast samples is a pretty common thing used when asked what is in it). It is really a PITA and is pricey. A lot of people do it though.

Then just come visit all of us. Or bring a bunch to PSNOT FEST

Yeah, we just need to meet up somewhere and do this PSNOT FEST thing.

EDIT:  I would be willing to buy as much different Cigar City stuff as I could and bring it if I could drive up.  Like if we met somewhere near Atlanta or in the Carolinas.
