Finished up 11.22.63 on Hulu. I liked it. Thoughts:

Overall I thought it was pretty good. I definitely thought it got going way too quickly then ended up lagging in the middle, I wish they could have spent more of that time setting things up instead.

There's more character development than I thought, but I guess it makes sense. A clever premise can carry a 2 hour movie usually, but an 8+ hour miniseries is going to need more than just an interesting idea. I thought most the acting was really good, I especially liked the Lee Harvey Oswald actor.

There's a couple stretches in logic that you'll have to look past. The biggest one for me was why didn't Chris Cooper's character just kill Oswald when he had the chance? Just do that, go back to the present and see if it fixed things and saved JFK. If it didn't you can go back in time and it resets everything anyway. No need to spend a year stalking and researching Oswald. Also was completely confounded by why Jake went to rescue Sadie when she was being held captive by her husband without bringing a weapon or any sort of plan. He basically just walks in and gets taken captive as well.

I really enjoyed the ending. It was what I was expecting,  but also exactly the way I was hoping it would end so I was really happy with it. Made the 8 hour investment worth it.

Grandmama was a beast!

I liked Mourning a lot, but I was all about Johnson. Grandmama was hilarious.

When Johnny was coaching with the Hornets in 1995 they had a good team. Glen Rice, Mourning, Johnson. Series was tied at 2 and Hornets had a chance to win game 5 in Chicago. On the biggest possession of the game, Mugsy had the ball with the Hornets down 1. Jordan backed off of him and told him: “shoot it you ing midget.” Mugsy shot it, didn’t come close. A year later Mugsy actually told Johnny Bach that he believes that single play ruined his career. His shot never recovered.

I should point out that this story is a little off since it says they had Mourning and Rice, which isn't true because Mourning was traded for Rice. The rest of it is hilarious, though.

Really fun. Great looking. A couple minor annoyances keep it from greatness, but it's still a really fun game, I said it before but the combat is a spitting image of Zelda 2.

People were saying stuff like this in the obscure PS4 retail game thread. I don't get it, because there's nothing different between this and Limited Run, except these guys aren't saying its "limited" and printing the numbers on the back of the box. It's weird to me that Limited Run is so popular, seems like everyone is more fascinated by its "limited" status than actually wanting a retail version of the games they make.

I don't care at all about physical copies most of the time-- only buying physical stuff because of the 20% discount promos now. If these guys are still doing smaller print runs, then that's great. The tweets looked like it was a larger retail run going out to physical stores. I can't imagine that the demand for this would be large enough to warrant that kind of cost.

We were always being teamed up with level 1s, but when we had a full party it was taking 30 min just to get in a match, eventually we had to split up to play. Hopefully the maintenance fixed that this morning.

Feels like Phil was more known for chocking early in his career. I mean, he hasn't been great lately. But he's had enough success that losing a few isn't that big of a deal.

I've hit a few golf balls into the clowns mouth in my day.

I was serious about golf for about a 5 year period of my life, but I wasn't what anyone would call good and I never joined a league. I shot 41 once playing behind the league golfers trying to beat sundown. I was probably a 20 handicap.

No one is good and you dont have to be good to be into it and play. I assume your 41 was on 9 holes. I dont know my handicap but im probably about a 20 as well.
