Looks like the biggest thing from the patch notes is that they're replacing the Horizon Edition cars with new ones. 

Previous Horizon Edition cars removed from Wheelspins; new Horizon Edition cars added. The opening sequence was straight up amazing which is part of the single-player. Multiplayer has been very solid, I haven't been getting the trial popup like others have described. Terrain is more destructible then BF4, graphics seem much better then the beta, was running smooth on XB1S. I need to get deeper into the single-player before I can give a final opinion, but seems like it will be worth it from Best Buy with GCU and $10 cert.

I played Shank 1 via PS+ and liked it, but I was glad I didn't spend money on it. I felt like it tried too hard to be edgy, had a forced Tarantino vibe of trying to be really cool and violent. Haven't played the sequel. I'm a fan of old school shooters and enjoyed what little I played of Prey back when it came out and already got it from this sale.

 
Could you guys maybe give me advice on which games are not impossible for a person who is new to gaming to play?  :wave:I have trouble with my ADHD so maybe something that grabs you and won't let go. Been wondering which games to buy for only 15$. The only games I've played and really enjoyed so far are Bioshock 1 and Happy Wars which I know is embarrassing.  :oops: My little brother is letting me use his Xbox which has a few games but most are not the original in its series and I'd like to start from the 1st. He has number 2 and 3? of Saints Row. 

So I was thinking of buying "Saint Row 1", "Thief" and "Watch Dogs" all cheap atm. Picked them since they look like they have an engaging story to tell. Thoughts? "Sleeping Dogs" looks cool too tho? Urgh.

Side note bought "Borderlands 1" the other day since I'd wanted give that a try first as I'd already I downloaded "Tales from the Borderlands" when it was free some time ago. I'm probably weird but I felt a bit off playing "Borderlands 1", only played around 40 minutes on it, since I felt isolated from everything. Maybe I just have to power through until I meet more NPC's or something.

Ps. The day before I also figured out I was holding the controller wrong.  :wall:  :shock:  Wished I'd have learned to play video games at a younger age.

If so, welcome to the best hobby around. Thief is terrible, the earlier Saints Row games are iffy at this point. Sleeping Dogs is excellent and has a great story.

Honestly with so many Gears 1-Judgement codes for basically free you should play those games. Very bro fistish, but the story is actually great and carries over through games. If I still had my codes I'd give them to you, but in sure another CAG will hook you up if ypu you want, and those games are BC so they work on both consoles

So 360 games, right? I'd recommend Dead Space (at least 1 and 2), Gears 1-3, Alan Wake, and the other two BioShocks. There are some more open world games I'd also offer up like the Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Batman: Arkham, and Assassin's Creed series and LA Noire, but ADHD might lead you to get lost in the worlds and not continue the stories.

I imagine most (if not all) of these are pretty cheap. Some were offered with GwG, so your little brother might have picked them up.

Also, Tales from the Borderlands isn't like the other Borderlands games in that it isn't a shooter; it's a story driven game where you make choices and those drive the story -- pretty easy and fun to play. Any of Telltale's games (The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, etc.) would be good too, I think.

I had difficulties trying to go back and play Borderlands. I loved it the first time I played it. Then sank hours and hours into 2 and the Pre-Sequel. So when I did try going back to the first one.. The jump in quality is large.

Yeah, this is for real I know I have no right to complain since my brother basically told me I could have his Xbox but I've come to learn the 360 is on the biggest ignore list and is at major disadvantages compared to the Xbox One from what I've heard. You know that person who starts running before they even learn to stand and walk well that's me cause now I really want an Xbox One Elite. IDk what I'm doing but that storage space appeals to my hoarder side. But that price tho. :shame: At this point, any X1 would be awesome.

Any other games deals you can recommend considering the 15$ budget? Totally on the look out for Gears 1 to start me off. The day will hopefully come. Thanks telling me which one's aren't as good.

I imagine most (if not all) of these are pretty cheap. Some were offered with GwG, so your little brother might have picked them up.

Also, Tales from the Borderlands isn't like the other Borderlands games in that it isn't a shooter; it's a story driven game where you make choices and those drive the story -- pretty easy and fun to play. Any of Telltale's games (The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, etc.) would be good too, I think.

Oh wow I'm so writing these names down. You know what when gaming my brain better fix itself cause I totally want to play all these games. Even when I wasn't into gaming I thought Assassin's Creed was so freaking cool every time I'd see a commercial and the hoods are just yes please. Thanks for the recommendations.

I'm probably weird but I felt a bit off playing "Borderlands 1", only played around 40 minutes on it, since I felt isolated from everything. Maybe I just have to power through until I meet more NPC's or something.

Ps. The day before I also figured out I was holding the controller wrong. :wall: :shock: Wished I'd have learned to play video games at a younger age.

I think Saints Row 3 is still plenty fun and you can get lost doing open world stuff or follow the story. Lots to do, lots of wacky absurd dirty humor. The first time I played it w/ a friend online we were up until almost 5am, definitely a game you can get sucked into.

Just Cause 2 is on sale right now for dirt cheap and it's a similar open-world go-crazy-have-fun type game. Even if you don't like it, it's less than $4 right now.

Re: Borderlands, I really don't like playing single player / alone. It does feel a little barren and repetitive, I'm surprised so many people play these games solo. They're fun but they get tiresome to me if you aren't playing co-op. With friends, though, I think the series is some of the best co-op fun you can have. Granted, playing solo in between co-op games to build your character is alright, but playing the entire game solo just doesn't interest me.

Thief is supposed to be not very good, it was sort of a reboot for the series and it didn't review well.

Also, curious - how were you holding a 360 pad wrong?

Also, based on the current sales - I had a ton of fun with Far Cry 3. Open world, mission-driven shooter with stealth elements and lots to do. The story is absolute dogshit and I hated every single character (personally I would have left his shitty friends behind and just hung out on the beach, but ehhh), but the gameplay is great.

 
I gotta ask the question we all want to know... how exactly were you holding the controller? It seems pretty self explanatory just by the ergonomics of it

Well seems I was wrapping my palms at the very ends of the wings? grip part of the controller instead of having hands cover the sides. Plus I used to have only my index fingers over LB/RB. Instead of both index fingers AND middle fingers both in the back covering LB/RB plus LT/RT so I didn't have to confuse and take so long to press either. But the problem is now I'm even sucker then before. Sigh. Guess I just need to make this my way of playing by repeatedly playing like that more something.

And that probably makes not sense other then in my head sorry if I'm making no sense and being confusing.

And this isn't me trying to be trollish or any of that and I know because of Trump it's been made into a joke but does having small hands affect controlling the controller at all? As a child, I hated drinking milk now I'm stuck with a child's' hands. :pray:

Um, well the isolation and this is my story so I don't want to have online ass' ruin it for me or want to run through and not smell the coffee appealed to me with all my hours playing the Borderlands games. Borderlands was also the perfect game to play while listening to gaming podcasts. I also echo to play them in order, Tales is a spin off but still surprisnigly decent.

 
I know someone said the old Saints Row games are eh and don't really hold up, Saints Row 2 is easily still one of my favorite games and I can easily recommend playing that at least, it's different then the newer ones for sure but it is still a blast to play!

Differing opinions are what the world is made of so thanks for sharing yours with me. I'll check which SR2 as well and I'll go with the one I feel will work best for me.

 
King's Quest: Chapter 5 releases on 10/25. Retail disc version of all 5 chapters in stores that same day.

Also, I know a couple of you guys bought Blues and Bullets. Maybe no more episodes.

Seems that developer is in limbo...

That makes sense. I only play(ed) it with people I know, I don't usually like playing co-op with random people (Destiny being one major exception). My friend I played BL2 with was dumbfounded I don't enjoy it single player, so to each their own.

I agree. If you are only going to play one of them BL2 is the best by far. Not even close IMO.
