Tom Clancy's The Division (Xbox One)

Haven't tried Clear Skies, but I've done a good share of search and destroy and daily HVTs solo. Geez, the level 32 daily HVTs can be brutal by yourself. So many enemies.

DZ is also really tough in the 201+ bracket. Almost impossible alone. Manageable in a group. Haven't gone above DZ03 and level 33 mobs. No real issues with rope cutting yet.

I've gotten more gear set items and DZ tech in the last few days than I did over the entire rest of the time I've played. Running four sentry with a shotgun and marksman. Really liking it, but it's high risk. Hard on my own, but I'm amazing with a group to keep me going.

Sweet.

I sadly dismantled a DMR with capable before patch...now it's the new Balanced talent apparently.

Yeah, loot w/HVT & CS is dropping like crazy.

I want to tag a long for more weekly HVT's just for the opportunity to get my BFB out. btw, the mobs in HVT's have high exotic damage resistances. When I should be doing 350 - 400k per BFB, I'm doing more like 230k in blue numbers to a group of 5+ ...sucks but also glad they gave them resistances so it's not just about pop and clear on easy street.

When the door opened a 5 heavily armored torch wielding heavies walked out into the street...I was like, "it just got real." Part of me wanted a jet pack and rocket launcher...then I realized what game I was playing.

Last night's CS run had strategy even though we wipes so many times, the 1st time I did CS w/the high GS' ppl, it was sheer brute force ftw.

Demolition Expert & Chain Reaction + lots of Tactician's Authority Stacks...and I think I did 536k to something on the 2nd BFB.

I don't think there's any elites or veterans w/that much exotic dmg resistance, that had to be 536k and not 53,600ish...esp since the npc disappeared after I popped it.

So much fun.

Finally got a full Tac set and played around with it last night. Very interesting. No health, but constant skills.
Love the skill haste and the super short CD's on Tact...I always feel like I have something to do other than firing, waiting for health, and reloading. Just want better rolled pieces for this set. Currently I have a tact BP which I'd prefer to use my BP which the overheal on all healing, then I can switch back to the one that boosts damage and resistance.

dat 201+ DZ though...

2 supply drops capped and got 240 Final Measure something and 240 Nomad something...I think a mask and a backpack. I don't remember off hand. Then we go into it with 2 other groups and it was just we rogue you, you rogue us, we rogue you, back and forth. So Rank 47 went to 49 then back to almost 47 then back to almost 49. It got stupid once when we were all neutral, they all equipped explosive rounds and all DMR focus fired one of us, instant down. Bastards.

No named weapons for me since release, then 2 days in the DZ and 5 Hungry Hogs drop and successfully extracted. So far I've kept 2 w/the highest dmg rolls. I managed to extracted a 204 converted SMG as well w/2 decent talents. One is either brutal or ferocious, predatory, and commanding? (freebie) So in theory if our sig skill is up I should be able to extend it for a seconds longer.

W/all the HVT and hard mode Clear Skies drops...is there any reason outside of saying you did doing Falcon Lost (either mode)? I don't even see a reason to do Clear skies on CM when it drops.

Ran DZ1 all the way to 6 and then it was just 5/6 for the rest of the time.

Finally got rank 50 w/a mild buffer if I get ganked on the way to the safe house tonight.

I now am the proud owner of 2 shotguns (182/204) w/identical talents. Double shotty w/Lonestar is going to be consist and great fun.

- Sustained

- Predatory

- Responsive

The randoms I ran w/were cool, gave me the best out of 5 midas they found last night, because that's just the righteous thing to do. I think between the 4 of us we found 3 Hungry Hogs & 5 Midas in about 2 hours of DZ farming.

I have a great 204 Vector (Brutal or Ferocious, Self Sustained & Determined...I forget) but my stats are literally like 15 and 63 off Stamina and Electronics, I'm hoping new gear mod slots blueprints from the DZ vendor will open up fully activated 204 guns for me.

After much HVT's dailies/weeklys, and CS runs...I was able to reequipped myself w/a higher GS Sentry set (4) paired up w/Lonestar (2). Lonestar only because the stats on the 2 pieces are just better than everything else I have so far.

New 204 MP 5 w/25% native crit, Stable, Sustained, and Competent...the talents aren't the holy trinity but those extra bullets in the mag and everything is outperforming the BoO AUG and even my 1/2 god roll vector. (shrugs)

...but you know your SMG doesn't make Sentry buff happen right?

Correcto...but my Tactical SASG-12K does. Holy beans batman, w/the sentry buff this thing is taking down lvl 30 and 31 elites in 1-3 shots the face. Tanks about 5-6 and I was doing this solo. I have some gear in my stash, I'm hoping I can 2 piece together a final measure to make me tankier or 2 piece Striker or something.

DLC is rumored to drop for Xboxers in 19 days...and includes possibly a DZ that goes all the way up to DZ11. Errr...I can't imagine how nasty a cleaner would be or even worse an LMG turret would be at DZ11/201+ GS.

Just curious, has anyone here completed Challenge mode for either incursion legit?  I've only been doing hard, but Falcon Lost is a good place to get Sentry and Striker gear, which is what I prefer to the other gear sets.  And challenge mode guarantees 240 gear set drops....

DZ05-06 GS201+ is actually better than the lower zones because there's less rogue activity and rogues tend to be opportunistic try to gank you in areas they feel comfortable or at an advantage.

My new crew and I farm it when we're on, we're just more careful. Even with a toughness of 300-400K + it's harder to just gank and tank your way out of situations when the roaming mobs hit so damn hard.

Tried CM on FL and lost pre 1.2. I think we got to the 8th wave and kept wiping. No one in my crew had high GS's, we were all in the 180's - 190's...and I haven't been on to try Clear Skies on CM yet. I wonder how fast we can clear FL on CM now that most of us are geared.

finally caught my first unicorn.

3 gear mod slot, Sentry's Call chest piece w/native high Firearms...I heard about the 3 gear mod slot vests, but never saw one drop or knew anyone w/one. (240)

Nothing else to comment on, just waiting for that DLC to come.

I realized I'm not having fun with this anymore around Thursday, so I'm off the dragon until new content. It's just so tedious to me now.

more or less the same, I don't have the same addiction to the game as I once did. I basically login to see what the dailies are and if they're convenient I do them...sometimes I get surprised w/walking into areas I don't remember seeing usually via HVT. Funny thing is ever day there is a minor upgrade if I do the normal routine of activities. I feel like I'm playing Destiny w/out the ability to space hop and sparrow everywhere. rolling and fast travel isn't quite the same.

I'm glad xbox get the DLC in about 2 weeks...I think if I didn't have xbox, I would have bought Witcher 3 about now.

Watched and read the E3 videos/news for the Division.

The Underground DLC looks like it's a massive dungeon crawl, w/guns...the dynamic missions just seem like reasons to go some place to do something. So, a vertical version of the DZ set in PVE land is my impression.

Survival on the other hand looks promising. They made a point to use "scavenge" so I wonder if that stat will play a role in finding provisions to keep yourself alive and going and warm (Lost Planet?). If it's anything like the mods the modding community set in for Fallout 3 where you had to eat, drink, and sleep or experience fatigue, damage, etc...I'm all for it. Well, I did buy the season pass so I guess I'm more psyched for it.

In other news, had a bad day in the DZ w/rogue but managed to come out okay despite going minus on DZ XP...Socom M1A w/Cool headed anyone? Yes please. (I forget the other two talents but one is +8% crit chance when using and the other I don't remember). Hopefully a coolheaded m1a is going to make my tactician build work even better paired w/my cool headed pistol too.

I'm the player who wants to play The Division daily, but I've already done everything multiple times already.  No interest really in doing challenge mode incursions.  Would like to do DZ, but it's not worth it to do solo anymore so I usually wait til my friends can get on.  When I boot up my Xbox, I look longingly at that icon for a reason to click it.... can't wait for the new content in two weeks.  Lol.

haha, I actually check my friends list first to see if anyone is playing the Division then decide if it'll be a Peggle night or Division.

If there's nothing going on tonight I'll see if I can clean up the last of the encounters and side missions in the last district that needs attention...maybe pick up some echos and cellphones along the way.

wow...1.3 patch, E3 news, and the DLC looks hawt. Those new gear sets though...

Now I have less motivation to play because a lot of gear will be obsolete once they patch on the 28th. hahaha.

I also like that devs said Underground missions can be designed and completed solo.

The thing I like the most so far about the Underground is that the layouts will be randomized each time you do them.  Hopefully, it's true randomization and not a set rotation like the daily hard and challenging story missions.

In terms of gear going obsolete, yeah, I've learned from playing Destiny way too long that there's no point in grinding for the perfect gear.  As long as what you have is good enough to let you contribute to the activities that you want to play, it's good enough.

some of more popular videogame bloggers said that the randomization was maps in the hundreds. They have to have them premapped otherwise my guess is it will generate impassable areas that are bugged, but a rotation of hundreds of maps w/different lighting, enemies, and placeables will probably look fresh and new for a long time.

Underground kinda reminds me of Firefight from Halo Reach. You set the skulls which gives bonus points vs. rewards at the end for teh Division, it's roughly 15 minutes per tier up to 3 tiers. FF from what I remember can be a 15 minute to 45 minute game...and you can do it solo or w/up to 3 other players. I think it'll be a great addition and hopefully worth the 1/3 the season pass price.

I always wanted a gear set or the ability to use more fire effects, Firecrest may be the one to git r dun! Though Reclaimer if it's released the same time might be better since consumables don't get used.

in other news:

- grouped up with some squeakers the other night and they found a new way to do Clear Skies incursion. In theory it would seem to work but in practice, the group could not do it. Myself included. After 4 wipes, I said we do this the normal way or I'm walking. We then did it the traditional way w/out wipes and completed it in record time.

The dets:

- So basically 3 ppl sneak up to the sniper tower, which is like a small toll booth or something. There's always a sniper up there. Someone pops their sig and everyone makes a B line for it. Up there, there has to be a Smart cover running 24/7 so when the mortar fire hits everyone doesn't die. Once you get everyone's aggro, the 4th player should be able to w/out much resistance or aggro at all freely grab both fuse boxes and plug them in w/minimal trouble. Fuse box guy needs to be very tanky as he'll still draw some fire. It didn't work for us but I think if someone was skill power based w/high toughness their smart cover would offer just enough resistance to keep yourself a live....also if everyone had 2 piece Final Measure, it would have been a success. Interesting approach to beating it.

I did it this way a few times this past weekend. It definitely works and is a suggested strategy for challenge mode, too. At the start, you don't need to waste your ultimate. Have the 3 people go left and sneak past all the adds. Even if they are alerted, you should be more than halfway to the hut and can make it safely.

The only thing to be wary of is making sure there is at least one smart cover up at all times. The three of us went down once because smart cover ran out right as the mortar hit us. Luckily the fourth guy was able to revive us in time so we didn't wipe. The other annoying thing is that sometimes the mortar will kick you out from cover. Not sure if there's a way to get around that.

My suggested loadout is the 3 people up top all run overheal and smart cover, but different mods on the smart covers. The runner/tank run overheal and pulse.

The group that I ran w/where all in highschool and I think one of them was smoking something so his coordination and timing was off. The 3 on the roof all had overheal & smart cover w/the heart. I almost worked but high as a kite wasn't on point.

Good to know that it does work, perhaps this will be the method for CM at least...as Underground XP grinding will probably probably occupy 99% of my Division time.

Sometimes I feel that I'm the only one using consumables when I play this game. I put incendiary bullets up and a incendiary grenade at the boss, so while he was flailing his arms we took him do quickly. I can't wait for the new Gear Sets.

Garbage.

Did all the weekly HVTs and 1 Daily HVT....1 supply drop and a handful of bosses in the DZ05-06 bracket.

6 Lonestar pieces, 1 Final Measure (from the supply drop), and 1 Hunter's faith piece.

Okay, so 2 Lonestar pieces were minor upgrades to what I already had, it was literally 10 more stamina or firearms and/or a few more points of armor, or a better skill buff. Even the 2 other players I ran w/all got Lonestar from every HVT. wth.

I did get a 204 p416 AR w/Capable, Ferocious, and Accurate (built in). I'm hoping it'll perform like a dream considering Capable and Accurate should make the bloom non existent after popping a skill...and Ferocious is just for PVE shenanigans.

My friends and I decided that tonight's the deciding point for HVTs/HRTs.  If we complete the two hardest weekly ones and all end up with just Lone Star gear, then we ain't doing it anymore.  There's really no point.

Was invited to a group to do rogue/manhunting in the DZ last night.  Not sure it's really worth it.  The difference between the XP I gain from surviving a 5 stage manhunt and the XP I lose from getting killed is only around 1000xp.  That's the equivalent of killing 3 low level grunts which I can do in less than a minute.  And it takes considerably longer to find people to get to stage 5 manhunt, then survive and/or defend yourself.  I guess it would also depend on the DZ server; we had two other 4 man squads that were trying to do the same as us.

the only positive from getting Lone Star constantly is, if they're not an upgrade...at least they sell for a good chunk of credits for recalibration later. Also, when everyone buys a round of HVT's, it's not so bad. At least during the weekly HVT you can pick up 5+ intel from kills along with a good chunk of drops to sell or dismantle. If you rock/paper/scissors and win...and you're the one buying the cheaper HVT's you can almost earn it all back from doing the rest.

I have no issue running Lonestar as a 4 piece set, I just need for it to not break my kit and gun talents. Sentry 4/Lonestar 1 (3 mod chest)/and Savage gloves are working so far...though I get wrecked by tanky rogue agents since 400k toughness is like the minimum now a days. I'm sitting on 210k but I also have 25k sp.

I've been looting and extracting purple gun mods, they can drop at lvl 32 and can roll a more favorable combination of stats than a HE. Sadly the majority I got last night were reduced threat and stability or reduced threat and optimal range...if not, stability and optimal range or anything but reduced threat.

Rank 52 in the DZ now, it's been slow going...but that won't matter because Underground rank will be the new rank to grind.

This game is fun again.

Though getting kicked from random groups because my GS and underground rank doesn't meet their prereq's is getting old...so rather than be more effective, i'm finding myself wearing the highest possible GS combinations just to get past the first 8 seconds. This proved to work out so I could get some more play time and loot.

Sitting at 243 now.

Firecrest 3 & Lonestar 3...because 100% reload speed is awesome on an AR & LMG (or shotgun depending on the situation and if ammo reserves)

I have 2 pieces of Reclaimer but both are 214, I don't care though I just want the 4 piece set so I can always fire incendiary bullets.

So from what I'm reading HVTs is the activity to get predominately Lone star set gear, Underground is BLIND w/a side of Firecrest...of course you can RNG other gear sets as rewards but the Devs said themselves certain activities have a much higher chance to drop certain gear sets/items.

DZ exclusively has certain gear sets that drop there from named & supply drops + caches.

I did 3 directive hard mode last night in the Underground w/randoms twice...2nd time, finally got my 4th Reclaimer piece. Who cares if it's 214, it's the 4th piece. I smiled, opened the door to exit the Underground and then DELTA error. I had an outage in my area.

Won't know until I get back from work tonight if it saved, I hope it did because I really want infinite fire bullets for everything along with free condiments for my squad.

Anyone try Dragon's Nest yet? I haven't but I heard a few things about it.

Not into the game anymore. I enjoyed it while I did, until the end. I did hop on for underground a couple weeks ago and thought it was decent. I think that's my new move, waiting until updates. Can't do the grind anymore.

I can relate.

Now the fun comes from a social group of randoms or ppl I've played w/before and we're just talking about the NBA trades and the last funny thing we saw on youtube while doing the SSDD routine.

At rank 20 however w/2 phase Hard and 3 directives you're getting a nice chunk of underground XP. I do maybe 2 or 3 of those then I call it a night. Fortunately my cousin is still really into this game but on PS4 so we can bond, talk shop, and I give him my take on the UG before he gets to try it out in August.

Reclaimer set is...awesome.

More fun with 3 other ppl with mics and a sense of humor.

"I've never done 2 phase hard mode w/3 directives before...can i do that with my GS of 189?"

- Yes, because we have fire bullets.

"shotgunners on the right."

- Did someone say, fire bullets?

lol...so much fun despite gimping my armor with 4 - 214 pieces.

Dragon's Nest is fun, but not fun w/2 ppl w/out mics that aren't team players. Will try it again tonight, hopefully with ppl who know what's up. At least you can loot mid incursion and still get gear set pieces.

Same. I still love the gameplay and the concepts, but I'm not into the grinding anymore. It's too hard and random to make progress. The fun stuff doesn't give you anything worthwhile to get better gear. For example, I want to try the story missions on heroic, but all the drops are lower than what I have so that seems like a waste of time despite the amped difficulty.

I like the concept of the Underground, but once I reached level 20, the 6 mission types were starting to get repetitive so I stopped.

Dragon's Nest is pretty fun. The second part, with the 4 bosses, is the only real difficult part, but it is also fun scrambling all around the map. Much more enjoyable than camping the pit in Falcon Lost.

I'm just looking forward to the next DLC, to be honest. Really curious what this "Survival" thing is.

I'm hoping Survival is very much like how the modding community had modded Fallout #...where you need to eat, rest, drink, etc. From the teaser trailer it looks like an agent from out of state got called in, crashed landed, and now in the dead of winter after all the other stuff handed is totally fubar'd to try contact command and survive.

I hope I can coordinate w/group tonight and do Dragon's Nest. I understand the concept. I may need to go equip properly as well w/2 FM and Sunday's best.

in the meantime...it's Pokemon Go!

This is likely a stupid question, but is there an easy way to tell which missions you've completed on Hard? Working on them at level 30 and I can't seem to find a way to track which ones I've already completed.

unless they stealth added a new feature, the only way to tell is highlight the mission and check via replay option and it should tell you.

in other news: Got my supply drop and 1 out of 3 ain't bad.

1 - half way decent shotgun 229

1 - instantly dismantled 229 side arm

and

1 - 751 (I think the cap is 760ish) electronic rolled 268 Tacticians knee pads (I think). I recalibrated the +XP minor stat out and got enemy armor damage as a replacement.

Now I'm running Tacticians in stead of reclaimers for UG. for 2 Phase hard missions w/3 directions, that BFB is invaluable.

"Warning incoming hostiles."

Oh really? (BFB the crowd of aggros coming out of the door)

Hoping I can get some higher GS tact gear, the 214 + this one 268 is killin me. I miss having higher toughness and firearms.

Did 3 Phase / Hard, w/Fog of War, Sickness, and Waste not want not.

Sickness isn't that bad at all, especially when everyone got the memo. the XP for 3 phase is crazy...not really any different, just more efficient. The random group I did that w/was great. 1 - Reclaimer, 1 - Tact (me) running Smart cover, 1 - Sentry, and 1 Predators. I eventually switched it up to BFB since there was no need for smart cover w/this group and smart cover and sickness canceled each other out.

BFB on the groups w/the extra damage and bleed was better in the end.

Not sure which set I prefer more, Tact or Reclaimer...though I'm sure the group likely enjoys having fire bullets more than straight bonuses to dps and toughness via Smart Cover.

Gave Division a break for a bit, logged in for the Supply Drop...put on Sunday's best, opened it with a 255 GS.

Lo and behold.

268 Lonestar kneepads (a 229 pistol), I guess it's RNG's way of saying you'll need these if you ever want to get something good in the future...RNG actually produced 2 pairs of kneepads the other was a HE 214 pair of why even give me these kneepads.

Pro: my current 240 lonestar kneepads got upgraded to 268.

Con: it's lonestar kneepads, which even at 268 will never replace my 268 tactician kneepads I got from the 1st supply drop.

Hopefully the 15th drop will be something a bit more useful.

I haven't played in maybe two months, and I feel great about it.
lol. I'll admit I no longer have the urge to login for dailies and the weekly rewards were so lack luster I stopped doing those when I was still playing every other day.

I am happy though that last night's supply drop turned out to be a 268 Tactician chest w/decent stats. It was very close to what I was wearing previously except at 214. So that's 2 - 268 Tact pieces, I really need to replace the one that's 191...hopefully on Sept 1st. hee hee.

So this is how I'll be playing the Division, logging in twice a month for the supply drop while waiting for the next seasonal passing DLC.

Anyone else try out Survival yet?  I only had time to do one game.  I didn't make it all the way to the end, but it was still fun.  Scavenging for supplies; trying to stay alive while fighting weather, hunger, and sickness; wandering the map without knowing where the hideouts were.... a different and fresh take on the game.

I'm debating playing this again some time. Maybe. Still haven't touched it since Underground came out.
They've made a ton of changes. Enemies are no longer the bullet sponges they once were. Shotgunners no longer kill you from a block away. Loot drops from everywhere. You don't need to play any specific incursion in order to obtain a specific gear set piece. In fact, if you have enough currency (Phoenix credits or regular $s), you can even buy caches that will give you a weapon or armor piece. A lot more rewarding to play and a lot more options to let you play whatever you want.

ran around a bit in world tier 4, haven't tried tier 5 yet but I've only played a few minutes just to get my bimonthly drop box. Maybe today's box will be another Reclaimers cause I'd like to rock that while I retake NYC again.

saw some survival videos, it does looks promising...hopefully the little one(s) will sleep soundly so I can get in a full match tonight or tomorrowish.

For future reference and for others' FYI: the season pass supply drops are based on World Tier and your gearscore. If you are 229 now (that was the max before the most recent update), then go to World Tier 5, kill any random boss in the light zone for a 256 drop, and equip it. That will push you over 229.

Once you are over 229 in WT5, every gearset and high end drops will all be 256. Your supply drop loot will be 256. If you grab the drop in WT4, the loot will max out at 229. The enemies are harder in 256, but if you play it safe, you should be fine.

Did that for the 1st of the month drop.

Was actually refreshing to get wiped by the LMB trying to get to the supply drop. My old tactician set prior to 1.4 didn't hold up solo...so I dug in, lobbed all my nades, used fire bullets, and smart cover ftw.

Then, it did some math, watched a few videos, and decides to sell everything minus a full set of gear. Bought the Pakahn, 4 gold caches, and went out on some HVT's and hunted all the world bosses. I went from 4.8 million credits down to 380k, then 3 hours later back up 4.8 million credits and 256 everything.

I totally bought the FAMAS from the vendor and about 5 of the prototype stamina mods w/armor built in. As per Skill'up (video blogger).

Currently rocking 3 pieces Nomad since it just had the best stats overall, the rest are piece mail gear sets.

Tonight I'll be sure to login in again and see if I can take out a few world bosses.

Upgraded to Predator's set, big difference in the DPS over Nomad's haha.

Had a Tenebrae drop, recalibrated "stead" out for "coolheaded." did it twice, 2nd time was all crappy talents so I just stuck with this for now...then next boss drop was a paratrooper w/skilled, toxic, and brutal. (shakes fist at RNG).

I'm surprised they haven't released another outfit set. I suppose they were really busy on trying to fix the game.

Figured out w/out a lot of exotic dmg resistance, a world tier 5 boss that's know for lobbing frag grenades will kill you if you're in the AOE.

fun fun fun.

There's a new Frontline gearset (it's technically called "D3-FNC"). Lets you use SMG (instead of sidearm) when rocking the ballistic shield. (Unless you're talking about the Appearance items...then yeah, nothing new there.)

heh. Yeah, I was talking about appearance items.

I've been rocking the pilot helmet & hazmat suit to look like a Rebel Pilot for a long time....switched to the Outlands outfit because the backwards hat was kinda cool, especially when everyone and their mom was wearing the Splinter Cell hat. Cool as it is, it wasn't so cool when every 3rd player was wearing it.

I have 2 pieces of the riot shield set, can't wait for the last 2...I just don't want to spend PxC's on them unless it's a god roll.

Managed to piece together a Striker's Battlegear set...wow it is not working well w/out a shotgun or heavy to build up stacks on.

Switched to Alpha Bridge but sadly the rolls were more Electronics thus deactivating all the good talents I had on my guns...so...

Switched to Reclaimers. So far it seems okay for boss farming and HVT but not very exciting now that special ammo isn't as special anymore. Visually entertaining though. I'm going to try and make the Reclaimer's set more fun and effective w/seeker mines, cool downs and such.

If not, I'll be going back to Predator's Mark (at least until Fire crest or Frontline).

I heard that they are considering increasing the Season Pass holder supply drops because equipment is so easily obtained it's no longer a perk for having the season pass.

If not, I'll be going back to Predator's Mark (at least until Fire crest or Frontline).
I've been playing with Firecrest and it's alright. Fun and can be a bit OP against non-yellow bar NPCs. The challenge is finding the right spot to place the turret without the elite running up and kicking it offline.

Just start playing with Predator's last night and not sure how I feel about it. It didn't melt as much as I'd thought. I couldn't always tell if the 4 piece bonus was proc-ing. And sometimes the counter would go up but then stop even though I could see my bullets still hitting the same target. So idk.

Everyone keeps talking about AlphaBridge, but I have yet to get good gear to try that out. With AB gear on, my armor is super low and damage mitigation drops all the way to around 39% (vs. 48-52% for my other set ups)! Will need better pieces to drop before trying that out.

Survival is wicked fun though. I've been playing at least one game of survival each night.

the current meta is Alpha Bridge & Firecrest.

I mainly want to try FC because it actually alters one of the skills, extending the flame's reach is a big deal and hopefully visually satisfying. I've used all the other skills that directly affect mobs and vs reds, yeah...they're basically red shirts from Star Trek.

Got a few more pieces for various sets, my AB is still more electronics heavy and/or sub optimally rolled in the armor/stamina dept. I was paper thin when I ran out to test it. I think Apollo 2 shot me at medium range. Same boat there.

What I liked about Predator's Mark was the bleed continued to damage them when the heavy's went behind their shields, named and elites were in cover and out of my reticle...and again, it changed something on the HUD. That little green bar that appear on the side of your weapon counting down on the shots before bleed kicks in. I'm guessing when you're firing, the reticle bloom might be registering bullets at other targets causing you to not get 10 shots on target consecutively.

Got a better piece of Reclaimers and tried it again...no improvement, it's less efficient than I thought because I have to spend the x seconds dialing into a consumable before every engagement where I probably don't really need it. So, into the stash and out came Tactician's Authority...which I took the better part of an hour recalibrating to meet some PVE standards.

Results?

Booster Shot (heal), Seeker Mine (Cluster), never had an easier time taking out world bosses in WT5.

I thought it was a fluke or a glitch. Against Fumes in the train station, if the randoms haven't spawned there yet on the track you can trigger him to spawn w/his group walking away from you. I drop a seeker mine before heading to the spot and have a frag grenade ready. As soon as his group spawns, I toss the grenade, the seeker rolls out, the nade pops and I unload w/the Pakhan.

The entire group dropped save one purple bar cleaner before the smoke cleared. Fumes was...fumigated. wow that's was bad.

Firearms 4000ish (just under the 4709 requirement to activate the 256 firearms talents)

Stamina - err, 51% Armor mit and around 300k toughness

Electronics - 200k skill power that goes up w/Tactician's buff.

Pahkan (out of the box) 230ish k DPS on paper. Feels like more tbh vs. elites.

Tenebrae (Steady recalibrated out for Coolheaded) ...still unsure why it's 512k DPS on paper.

I actually don't have any urge to use anything else except Firecrest to have fun w/the flame turret.

Re: Survival, haven't tried it yet...my parenting responsibilities currently don't allow me to get into any form of gaming that might need my undivided attention for longer than 20-30 minutes...but looking fwd to my first delve into.
