So I bought kings quest complete today at gamestop. Anyone know how to access episodes 2 thru 5 amd the epilogue?

Edit: nvm had to Uninstall my episode 1 and reinsert the disc to get everthing.

I had bought Catherine a while ago because I listened to games journalist talk about how unique it was. I played through the game and threw my controller during the puzzle sections. Might go back someday and play it on easy but as of now there's plenty of other great shit to play.
 
Nabbed Rise of the Tomb Raider to match my BF Season Pass and finally broke down and got Overwatch. Such a quality product that the digital price just won't drop below $40 it seems.

Had 6 holiday loot boxes waiting and smiled opening each one.

Then turned Mass Effect 3 back on, where real CAGs grind XP.

I cant seem to be able to buy Killer is Dead. I get a "cannot complete this purchase" error 

Was able to nab the $10 batman telltale season pass and free 1st episode though.

 
I feel like Microsoft has moved away from selling a lot of cheap old games and instead doing small discounts on newer games.

I was speculating on this and I bet market research has shown that if they have a bunch of $5-10 older games they probably sell less higher priced newer games. I think game buying addicts like us want to buy a couple games on digital sales so they would rather push us towards a $30-40 newer game. If Microsoft makes 30% per digital game, that's $9-12 on a newer title instead of $1.50-3 on a cheap older game.

This is all speculation of course but just what my guess is as to why you don't see as many cheap older titles.

This is true about the dev for Witness? I wasn't going to buy until it was $20 or lower but now you've got me thinking I need to jump on it as there may not be another sale for awhile? It has been this price twice in the last few weeks though.

 
I'm ecstatic that Rainbow Six Siege hit its all-time lowest digital price! I traded in my disc for about the sixth time to upgrade to digital. Now I just have to decide if Don't Starve and Oxenfree are worthy of their sale prices when I have a sizeable GwG backlog.

And isn't the price on Dark Souls 2 pretty good? Last time I saw a big sale on the physical copy it was around $12 new, but that was right before or after Dark Souls 3 was released. I might pick that up, but from what I am remembering I sold my disc copy because the jumping/falling/rolling felt very sluggish and frustrating, bordering on touch screen control bad.

 
Can't decide if I want to get Forza 6. Great price but I feel like since I have waited this long, I can wait until it goes cheaper sometime next year.

 
At the 9th hour, I just bought The Flame in the Flood. I am addicted to procedurally generated games, and it looked interesting from the trailer. I hope I don't regret my purchase, but I have a feeling that I can't hate it any worse than Fallout 4 which I have played about 20 minutes of since I bought it earlier this year.
 
Just sorted my games by size. Crazy that Halo 5 is 97.1 GB and Limbo is 212.4 MB. That's my biggest and smallest games. Are any Xbox One games larger than 97.1 GB?
 
After reading several positive reviews, I finally pulled the trigger on a background music player - and found that I really like it.

Duplex Media Player + for Xbox One.  Price is $4 during the sale.

As I've shared several folders from my Windows 10 PC on my local network, Duplex was very quick to access them to begin streaming.  Very little effort on my part.

I couldn't find the program outright on my Xbox One console unless I entered a search of "music" from the Apps store section and then waded through the mass of wasted apps to find what I wanted.

Tangent: Might be a good time to pick up Dragon Age: Origins if you are an RPG fan and like its cheap cost (and don't want to subscribe to EA Access).  With EA's commitment to the Backward Compatibility program, this title may come to Xbox One sooner rather than later.

Bought an Xbox One last week and I really want Destiny, the complete edition. Is it worth it at that price? Physical was 30 a week ago which I prefer. Even more given the new expansion costs that alone. Deal on the complete version ends in 3 hours.... hmm.... decisions, decisions

If you're going to get sucked in that game like almost everyone else, you're going to need the digital copy. Physical is just a vanilla disc (almost fully updated though) and two codes for the expansions, nothing more, so it's not like it would be worth that much in case you want to trade it in.

There's also a demo on the Store, which is the full game locked after you reach level 7 and complete the first few main missions in case you want to get it ready before you get the physical disc copy.

$20 is a great price for Diablo 3 UEE. Lots of content, local co-op, and Blizzard continues to support it with updates (current gen versions). The quest for more and better loot will keep you playing past the main story. Borderlands 2 was kind of like that for me, but after you complete all the missions in BD2 going after more loot just seems like grinding. Diablo 3 has a better end game. Now that it's broken $20 it will probably be offered up at that price again throughout next year, but it will be a while before it gets lower. Well unless they announce Diablo 4 or something.

Can't get myself to pull the trigger on Quantum Break for $30. I'll probably enjoy it, but I have other stuff to play right now. Instant buy at $20, probable buy at $25.

That Carrie Fisher news got me depressed. Buying more games I won't play is good therapy.

So I bought Tropico 5 last night, and I told myself I was only going to play for abiut an hour. Five hours later, I realized that I cost myself a lot of sleep. So I head to bed and wind up dreaming with what amounted to the Tropico pop-ups and decisions

Portal 2 is one of the best games of the last 20 years, IMHO. It's hilarious, it's clever, and just the right length. It's a fantastic example of good game design, teaching the player along the way without having blatant tutorials.

The co-op is also excellent but I'd recommend both players complete the SP first so you know what you're doing. I played it with my ex last winter and it was a blast.

It's a really fun city builder. Those that like this kind of game should find a lot to like with it IMO.
 
There are quite a few games I want for week 2 but the prices are ridiculous

at least try to get in the same room as tempting Microsoft, these prices are more irritating than tempting

Portal 2 is one of the best games of the last 20 years, IMHO. It's hilarious, it's clever, and just the right length. It's a fantastic example of good game design, teaching the player along the way without having blatant tutorials.

The co-op is also excellent but I'd recommend both players complete the SP first so you know what you're doing. I played it with my ex last winter and it was a blast.

Alright thanks for the thoughts. I'd really like to get some more co-op games to play with her, but they all seem to be FPS-ey. My wife absolutely hates the dual stick FPS-type controls, so I guess I'll have to think some more about it. That really hamstrings me when it comes to buying games for us to play together, and I can't seem to get her to work through the curve of learning dual sticks. That may sound dumb or weird to some, but she also has never caught on very well to the Super Smash Bros. controls for some reason either. And yet, she can race well in racing games and do stuff like use drift, and she also plays Street Fighter in a way beyond just button mashing. Ah well...

The only games I got my wife to play are Peggle and Wheel of Fortune.

For the price, Portal 2 is an easy sell even if you just play the SP. BC is icing on the cake (which is a lie).

Portal 2 eventually requires some quick reflexes but it may actually be a great game for her to acclimate to dual analog first person. No precise aiming, no enemies rushing you, can take most puzzles as slow as you like. I think for less than $7 it's a good gamble.

What about Child of Light? Different kind of coop, but might be more her speed.

Diablo 3 my wife will play as well.

Lego games maybe or Raymond series?
