I had my 120 elite for 2 years and i always kept it 2inches above the floor so it could cool better and sure it it RRoD'd on me.Got a repair order from Microsoft soft i packaged it up and dropped it pff at my nearest ups and 2 weeks later i received it with a 3 month live sub and has been working flawlessly ever since. Bottom line it was no hassle at all for them to repair the console.

Seems like everything in the video has been on sale before multiple times. I saw Forza Horizon, Gears 4, Halo Wars 2, Killer Instinct, Astroneer and Recore for Play Anywhere. Battlefield, Overwatch, Watch Dogs 2 for X1. Xcom, RDR, Bully, South Park for 360.

Late to the Scorpio talk, but no way they price it more than $499. And even that is unlikely. Some of you guys are crazy. Those components probably cost about $15 to make (okay maybe an exaggeration) so they won't really be taking a loss just because of what the ridiculously inflated current market prices might be.
 
many of the games in the video only go on sale 30+ weeks a year so make sure not to miss them

if you're lucky they might even be more expensive than they were mere weeks ago

 
Nothing from EA on XB1 is currently counting down to Monday night, so there might be nothing from them in the Spring Sale.

I own all but 9 of those digitally, and of those nine, I own 4 physically.

Usually they say "up to 67%" but there's still some games that are on sale for 80% and 90% off.

 
I wonder why it doesn't make business sense to just start going wild on deals for the old games and dlc most of us have held off on for years but are still interested in. I don't know the details behind digital margins but I know getting people's interest could generate more sales for dying systems (360,ps3)

 
Only thing I see for now that I'm interested in is Astroneer missed it when it was on sale a few weeks ago. Possibly Watch Dogs 2 or Gears of War 4 but I can wait on those if it's not crazy good.

One thing that gets overlooked with ideas like this is that when people spend money on cheap old games they don't have as much incentive to buy more expensive newer games. Some people will spend their time budget or their financial budget just on the older games and avoid the newer stuff when the price differences are so disproportionate and when they know they can count on dirt cheap low prices on older games. Just a theory, but I think this is why some larger companies with an interest in selling their newer titles really have little interest in selling older stuff since they are essentially just competing with themselves.

Of course, some of us will continue to spend money on new games and old games since we have an addiction.

I had 2 360s fall prey to the RROD. Microsoft definitely treated me far better than sony did when I had 3 ps2s have disc read errors. A pretty common problem, I've heard. Sony reps told me it could take over a month and shipping and repair estimates were about haĺf the cost of a new one. Microsoft really made me a fan with the quick and free replacements of my 360s.

I don't think I am as bad as most of you but yeah if I see an old game I think I might play or enjoyed playing way back when and it is under $10? Hard not to click buy now. So I end up buying a lot of stuff just because it is cheap.

I'm sure you're right to some degree

but people like me straight up ignore new games for years until they hit that 20 or less range with the dlc included so to get my money (and I assume a lot of other people's money) you're gonna need to drop the old games and dlc to get the wallets to be opened

also people like me are upgrading from old physical games to digital so we can absolutely be milked with cheap games.

I doubt I'm in the minority that sees new game sales and instantly moves on to something else because I'll never buy full priced or new games in any sort of a reliable or consistent way.

Convenient, I just got some xbox credit shortly before the spring sale is announced. The only game I'm interested in that Blink posted screenshots of is Overwatch and I doubt that would be the 50% off I want it to be. Not getting my hopes too high on the "over 350 offers" but I hope a few things I'm interested in go on sale.

 
Been skipping out on Witcher for a long time so I'll like pull the trigger this time around. Astroneer was fun if it's cheap I'll grab it, game is fun but I don't like the idea of buying something that isn't out yet. I look at ARK still being game preview and having paid dlc already it's worrying. If overwatch is the right price may pick it up in need of a new shooter.

You're wrong! Phil Spencer has been there the entire time. He was at the table when decisions were being made about the Xbox One. He was head of the gaming division which saw cancellation after cancellation of games like Fable Legends and Scalebound and the closing of Studio after Studio and people wonder why Xbox has no games?

Forza Halo Gears won't carry the Xbox forever especially since Halo Gears are only Halo Gears by name. Microsoft burned their bridge with Bungee when MS tried to force them to make another Halo game instead of Destiny. We all know how that turned out. Destiny only became the highest selling game of all time! Imagine if MS still had Bungie in their back pocket they way that Sony has Naughty Dog and now Guerilla Games. Epic Games has moved on from Gears as well.

OG Xbox sold 500K units in Japan, 1.6 million xbox 360s, under Phil Spencer Xbox one has sold 67K! Time for a changing of the Guard is right.

 
Japan's tastes in gaming has changed drastically since the days of the 360. Even the mighty PS4 has only sold 3+mill in their home country. That's nothing to be proud of either. All they care about now is mobile games and tentacle rape porn.

I definitely miss Epic though. Praying Cliff comes back to supervise Gears 5. Even a simple advisory role would give me a lot of hope for a better game.

I made it more clear with some section headers. Although I wouldn't consider the first part facts anyways, it's off of Wikipedia which can be modified. #FakeNews

My feeling with Destiny was that it was a console scrub version of World of Warcraft with way less things in it. Not really what I wanted but I can see why others liked it. I wouldn't consider it a big loss for Microsoft to not have it exclusive though.

Fair enough but Persona 5 shipped 1.5 million copies day 1. Nier Automata and Nioh have sold over 1 million each. What does Xbox have? Mass Effect Andromeda with it's goofy animations? MS needs to attract developers and cancelling Scalebound from a well respected developer like Platinum games so late in development was a bad message to send to other developers.

Xbox finally has the hardware advantage for the first time this gen. Let's see what they can do with it. People want games, People want something to be excited for.

I've been sitting on some credit since Christmas, would love a good sale on some kid friendly games to play. We have been playing Plants vs Zombies 2 and Disney Infinity 3.

I want Yooka-Laylee but $40 seems high, I'll wait til it's $20.
