They expire on August 5th.

edit: reading helps, "new alt," pls ignore
Yeah, my lil bro told me they expire in August. He just added mobile auth so he's hoping to sell them once he is allowed to.

Tonight's Bro game is Homefront: the Revolution -- If you love AMERICA enough!

Holy fuck! Now I need to grind to get that too so I'll be ready for next year.

Pay 4 Convience
That's what I call your mom.

Anyways, I semi console-plebbed it today and traded in an old trash laptop I got at Goodwill a few years back for $75, which is like $5 more than I paid for it. It was so trash and my only bad Goodwill purchase, but it's Goodwill and I've fleeced them on every other purchase so I was ready to take the loss on it. Glad I was too lazy to trash it.

I have all cards except Tourist and Lemonade, if anyone needs cards for a badge. Note that I have that 2-day hold or whatever because I don't use the mobile authenticator; I don't remember when summer sale cards expire, but if that's a problem for anyone, I figured I'd let you know.

Cards gone

I CANNOT AND WILL NOT AND DO NOT WAIT FOR TWO DAYS! Motokihairflip.gif

Edit:

Also, I sell my cards and I just got a Camping, Tourist, and Road Trip card. Anyone need one send me a 1 for 1 trade offer for any other summer card in the next few hours as I'll be putting them up for sale after bronight.

Anyone actually buy that Hunter Call of the Wild game?  Curious about it.  It looks interesting but...

Also add me so I can see what you people are buying with your glorious card monies.  You can admire my sticker collection which I totally worked hard on and didn't just click on every sticker on the page and then move them around slightly.

Christ on a bike! I feel like I'm in the middle of a war zone with all the fireworks going off right now.

Pace yourselves you friggin' idiots. The sun doesn't even set for 2 hours yet. Most of those fireworks are frickin' pointless in the daylight.

It has rained off and on all day here.  We had to grill in between showers but I figured it was worth it since at least my dog would let me sleep tonight.  But now the forecasters are saying it will likely clear out around 9:00 to 10:00 so that just means the fireworks will start that late and there will be even more people than usual firing them off at three in the morning.   At least this year I don't have to worry about people starting fires with them.

I was debating it for most of the sale. Played a bit of their dino hunter version, Primal, and had more fun than I was expecting. The fast-travel paid DLC on a game with a 50 square mile map was a big factor in why I passed.

Anyone know if there's any good headphones on sale?

I know that's not really PC/Steam related, but I don't know where else to ask.
Meant to respond earlier, but what are looking for? Just headphones, no mic? Mic for phone calls? Bluetooth or wired? Sizewise do you have any restrictions? You like heavy bass? And max budget? Let me know and I'll see if I have any recs for you.

Black Desert bored the crap outta me.

ESO does the same.  I tried so hard to come back with Morrowind (my favorite of the series) and when I got to Morrowind was nothing but disappointed.  Promptly cancelled my preorder and haven't looked back.

ESO+ is free for a couple of days so you can try it.

Any advice on Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China?  Thinking on the couch with the steam link could be fun.

Thoughts?

Well, seeing as how I have The Witcher 3 on both PS4 and Xbox One, I'll heed your advice and give CD Projekt Red even more of my money!
I rebought it all on steam after buying it all on ps4. No ragrets.

I don't know why (have a 1080) but I'm going to fire up the ps4 version again once the ps4 pro update is out. It's just a really enjoyable game.

If you already own Witcher 3 on another system, I can't imagine choosing it over SE4 which is outstanding in its own right.

Yes, absolutely, Witcher 3 is great, but not greater if its a triple dip. Get SE4 and try something new. You've already got Witcher 3 on 2 other systems lol.

That's what I was thinking after I posted. I have the base game on PS4 and the GOTY on the Xbox One. I might as well have the Xbox One version install right now and get Sniper Elite 4 then

Come on, man. Let him give CD Projekt RED another $30. That means Cyberpunk 2077 will be $30 more awesome.

I've played it when it was still in Early Access, and did find the game fun and enjoyable. Combat/movement with a controller seems to work just fine. I really like how the campaign mode highlights a WWII theater, seldom seen in other games. I grabbed it when it was in a $5 bundle on Bundlestars a few years back.

Yay or nay on Rainbow Six: Siege? I've been eyeing that and Witcher 3 the whole sale and I'm either going to buy just Witcher or both. Not sure if I feel like spending that much on Siege though.

Siege is basically online only. Its got a few single player "scenarios" but the bulk of the game is meant for multiplayer. Its well made, but the learning curve is very steep. I can't recommend it unless you've got some friends that have it that will play regularly. It's basically nothing like the old school Rainbow Six games. It's CSGO with a lot more strategy + bells and whistles. Its good at what it does though.

Comparatively, Witcher 3 is legitimately one of the best games of the last decade. You can get over 100 hours out of it depending on your play style, probably even more. I don't think there's much of a competition between the two. Get the Witcher GOTY and don't look back.

They're both good, and if you can swing both, get both, but if its a choice, Witcher 3 every time.

You can also solo the Terrorist Hunt mode and most people will recommend you spend a bit of time in Terror Hunt learning the maps. But, yeah, it's really a multiplayer game with a strong lean towards teams who actually communicate and spend time getting good.

Likewise, there's a free 7-day trial for BDO although that doesn't help you much now if you wanted to buy it at the sale price. Also, there's no way to convert the trial account to a Steam account since they don't let you link accounts made through the BDO site to accounts made by purchasing via Steam.

I'll counter and say that Siege lone wolf mode is fun enough to give you your money's worth if you just like playing solo.  I guess you could eventually get so good it wouldn't be a challenge, but that's not an issue for me.

Okay, I did it. I bought Witcher 3. Now I need to actually play it before the winter sale when it'll inevitably drop 10 bucks somehow. But yeah, my final "haul" was:

Batman Arkham Knight (bought on nuuvem)

Detective Grimoire

Hylics

Portal

Squarecells

The floor is jelly

The last door

The witcher 3

and a couple pinball tables

If it makes you feel better, I think Witcher 3 GOTY/complete will only go to 19.99 vs. 14.99 for winter sale. I wish we could find out more information on Cyberpunk 2077, but I think we are looking at 2018 or even 2019 for that one.

yeah, it'll be 19.99 at least. either way i need to play it sooner than later because i'll feel like an idiot if i spent 25 bucks on it just to see it drop in price when i still haven't touched it

Just use Steam Economy Enhancer. It allows you to mass relist cards priced higher than average.
Yeah, I'll get that installed soon... I was just trying to sell my summer cards today. Woke up from fireworks and figured I should check my sales and I had allot left and needed to adjust everything down one cent.

Pretty sure in the past, maybe distant past, you could just adjust prices on the fly via Steam but that seem to been removed or been an error in memory.

Anyhow, I got them all gone so it's good. :)

Tonight, Fox, Parallacks, Jimbo and myself took the fight to the North Koreans... FOR AMERICA.  After a fairly strong start, we bogged down in a couple missions and ultimately failed our nation.  But we had good times doing so and played for a solid three hours which is saying something.  Parallacks bought himself a blue bike helmet and Jimbo's old man had the worst weapon crate luck ever.

My small haul

Unloved (from Reds)

Sisters in hotel and Zup Pack (based on Syntax's "recommendation")

Refunct (because of the video posted in this thread)

Versus Squad (so someone will hopefully  play with Bah)

Day of Infamy (just for me)

Final Haul

Bastard Bonds (Actual name of the game....though I'm not sure if I can say it in the forums)

Conception 2

Craft the World w/DLC

Crashlands

Disgaea 1&2

DOOM

Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force

Fallout 4 w/ Season Pass

Hitman: The Complete First Season

Megadimension Neptunia VII w/DLC

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor GOTY

Phantom Brave

Rise of the Tomb Raider w/Season Pass

Siralim 2

Starbound

Tales of Berseria

Tales of Symphonia

Way of the Samurai 3 w/DLC

Westboro (Thankfully, this isn't related to that other thing)

The "haul" I ended up with from the Summer Sale:

RAGE

Walking Dead: Michonne

Dead Rising 2

Age of Empires 2 HD Expansion Pack containing the African Kingdom and Rise of the Rajas ones I didn't have.

and

Black Desert Online

Dear Lord, I love BDO so far.  I'm a week in and currently have to fight with myself between leveling and working on Trading.  Am currently level 41 on my Warrior  and maybe halfway from Skilled 7 to Skilled 8 in trading.  I really like how different the combat is and how you can work on Life Skills (professions) in all sorts of different ways.
