The defense rests its case.
Are people actually taking former league of legends player that got banned for toxic behavior as genuine reviews now?

I've often see people quote Donkey when it comes to Sonic Mania too.

I love his videos, but they're more like him joking around for a good 4 minutes.

who gives a shit about LoL?

A few of his random youtube videos I have seen linked over the last two years are funny.

More importantly, in just six minutes his video shows you some of the interesting environmental things that are capable in the game. That being what the devs call "multiplicative gameplay".

As I mention I love his videos, but they're more or less joke/meme tier if anything.

But that's just his background coming from his former videos, his fanbase expects him to be random/stupid for laugh.

He's not somebody I would personally go to for game reviews on anything.

Comedy is not a disqualifier for opinions. Worthabuy guy is probably 25% dick jokes yet he's one of the two youtube jerks I actually watch for video game crap.

Honestly, I'm a little confused with your obsession with review scores. Didn't you have some opinions about the ME:A review scores as well? If you don't like the game, okay, that's fine, but why should your opinion automatically correlate to the review scores given by others? Why do you think the people who are paid to objectively review video games are unable to do so?
Obsession with review scores?

WAT

Weeknights are for playing games. Weekends are the times when I do stuff and meet people, but I'm an abrasive douche so I usually come home after, turn on NPR or TED, and assume the fetal position until the pang of loneliness subsides.
You know all there is to know about the crying game?

Knowing that a tilted "L" placed on the chin is also the ASL sign for "Lesbian", I am very confused by this graphic.

For those who missed the last solar eclipse over the US, enjoy this gem of a time capsule video from 1979.

I wasn't even born yet, but it appears little has changed with human behavior, just the technology.

Dead Rising 1 thoughts...

I don't necessarily regret buying it but I prefer Dead Rising 2 OTR in that it still keeps the challenge with timers but you have much better ways to deal with zombies like combo weapons (I was kind of surprised combo weapons weren't a thing in DR1).  Without combo weapons DR1 tends to get boring in that you're almost always carrying around a katana or baseball bat as other weapons tend to be crap.  And in your first playthrough you have to write off quite a few of the survivors/side quests because you simply don't have the time to cut through hordes of zombies to do everything.  I'll probably rush to complete story mode so I can unlock infinite mode and play around a bit.  It is nice to be in a slightly different setting/mall, although there are a lot of stores that are flat out useless and don't have anything that resembles a decent weapon in them.

Verdict: Buy if you're a big fan of the series, avoid if you are a casual fan and already have DR2/DR2 OTR.  I'd rank DR2 OTR>DR3 (played in nightmare mode)>DR2=DR1.  DR4 = ??? but people say it's awful.  I'll let you know when it's sub $15.

Yeah, they certainly refined the gameplay after the first one... It was the start of something great but, it itself, wasn't necessarily great. (Not saying it was bad but its a case of a developer learning what worked and what didn't.)

I remember when it first released it was nearly unbeatable on an SD TV due to the fact you couldn't really see what the time was on the watch.

It's actually why I bought my 1080p 60" Mitsubishi DLP which was a great tv(and I gave to a coworker about 18 months ago and it still works for his halo sessions).

I saw this earlier, showed the wife and she freaked out over it..  Still won't play it but she did get all giddy,I myself, can see the fun and I might play it...

Anyhow, have you ever wanted to manage your own dinosaur theme park?  (How could anyone ever say no to that question?)

Edit: It is coming to PC even though the screenshot prominently shows a Xbox logo.

I saw that today too. I'm not one for management sims, but how can you say no to building your own dinosaur park??

The trailer for the new assassin's creed made me think about preordering for a second before I realized I have only ever played the first one and have like 5 or so sitting in my backlog. Love the Egypt setting though.

Gamersgate has an End of Summer sale going on.  Didn't see anything crazy at the moment, but worth keeping an eye on, especially if you have bonus Zgold expiring at the end of the month.

That was more or less my thoughts when it came on. Since almost everything they showed yesterday will play Win10 and XBOX. All those fun times locking people in RCT/ZT in a cage with the animal, or fencing them in with no bathrooms. Just imagine that.. with Velociraptors.

Gamersgate has a Vampyr preorder up, but no discount yet:

https://www.gamersgate.com/DD-VAMPYR/vampyr

From the devs of Life is Strange and looks cool even if Vampyrs are lame compared to Zombies.

This, Biomutant, and FC5 are probably my main wants in the near future.  This comes out in November and I'll probably pre-order once they add a discount to it.  Hopefully by November I've had my fill of PUBG, but let's be honest, probably not, especially if they release the new map for it any time in the next few months.

Unfinished as it is, the game was a helluva lot of fun. I wonder if the PC version can run on potato power
i don't have a credible source yet but here are the leaked/rumored recommended specs going around

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700 3.7 GHz
RAM: 16 GB System Memory
GPU RAM: 11GB Video Memory
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
HDD: 170GB Available hard drive space

hopefully it won't be that demanding, but yeesh, that hard drive space...

That's ridiculous and not going to be true lol. The only way these recommendeds are real is if its for 4K/8K 60 FPS with high res textures which only a small % of players will be going for.

The source is actually Square directly which was on the Youtube trailer for the game, and since removed.

The hard drive space makes sense if its all high res crap, considering the older games are like 60-70 GBs themselves it seems.

This is what it says now:

"Supporting high-resolution options and compatible with native 4K resolution and HDR 10. Thanks to NVIDIA, you can experience the beautiful and carefully crafted world of Eos like never before."

Well the eclipse was pretty dang cool. Don't know if it would be worth driving hours and hours to see since the totality was only about a minute long. Still pretty darn neat though. In the space of about 20 seconds it went from light to darkness.

I think these are specs to run it at 4k at a stable frame rate

Down my way we had right at 2 minutes of totality. Pretty cool.

For those who play Age of Empires series, there are 2 announcements

- M$ will remake AOE2 and AOE3 via their Definitive Edition line

- Relic will develop Age of Empires 4 (this has me worried b/c they blew hard with Dawn of War 3)

It's a Japanese game, so those are probably really the minimum specs.

170GB of HDD??!!? Holy smokes!!!

This must be the biggest game on the PC. This will take an eternity, even on Comcast Blast here, to download.

I hope they opt to make those 4K & 8K textures optional extra downloads (as free DLC's like Skyrim: Old Edition had for its HD textures). I basically will aim for 1440p, so...I only need textures up to that res', TBH.

Are they planning to do like audio in different languages? B/c if they are - eh, I might only just want English (if it's good) & maybe Japanese audio (if English VO sucks). Any other VO - nope, that DL should be optional. Don't need a game eating up that kind up HDD space, if I can avoid it.
