I remember playing Super Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES back when I was about 8. I played it with my friend and we'd just spam moves and try to beat M. Bison on hard. It was fun for maybe a month.

Stop promoting this shit, come on. You don't need 10 different collections for these games you've already played to death, nobody does. Companies get lazy and just release "updated" and "remastered" versions for more money instead of coming out with new ideas because of you. Same goes with Devil May Cry, granted that it's only been re-released twice and not 10 times like Street Fighter. Every time you buy yet another re-release of games like Street Fighter, a puppy comes down with rabies. Stop.

Capcom knocked it out of the fucking park with the reveal of the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition cinematic intro, which also revealed the entire Season 3 cast of DLC characters.

Dropping the Sakura reveal trailer which includes gameplay too.

Season 3 is looking great, I'm looking forward to unlocking them with the fight money I saved and earn along side the new content.

I think this might be the first season pass I buy from them.  I've bought every DLC character from Seasons 1 and 2 with Fight Money, but now I feel like maybe I'd rather buy the characters first and then save that extra Fight Money I earn to put towards some other things in the game.

I think Capcom has been doing this for a while. Remastered/Remakes have low risk and high profit margin. I hardly see Capcom changing this policy in the near future.

Borderlands is an RPG?  :whistle2:k

Is this one of those "Pac-Man can be an RPG if you imagine that you're really eating pellets while being chased by ghosts" sort of things?

Or did he really mean this?

Well, DMC and DMC2 are not on PC afaik and DMC3 was a piece of shit port-wise, so at least DMC has a reason to be remade.

Yeah I know what you mean. I wouldn't call it an RPG either but then If had to follow that rule then probably Fallout 4 woud be tagged as shooter only. It's a shooter anyways

Nah.  Fallout 4 still has dialogue trees and faction branches and companion approval and other RPG style staples to set it apart from a standard shooter.  I'd have a hard time thinking of what would make Borderlands an RPG.  Side quests, skill trees and inventory?  By that measure, Far Cry 3, Wolfenstein TNO and Prey 2017 are RPGs.

Anyway, it ain't your book so you don't have to convince me.  Just seems weird (and might be part of why no one is taking it up).

Coincidentally - i just came here to post that cdkeys has the Fallout 4 GOTY for $20.09 at the moment. I've been stalking it for a while and the price was holding steady at 21.xx until this morning. I'd rather spend steambux but I don't imagine the winter sale will get this low.

Also Homefront -NFVYX-RCQP6-WXZ5?

I think it was a bit cheaper when they had the black friday coupon recently, but still cheap nonetheless.

Winning? Maybe... I'm sure Tremor has made money but its sure isn't sustainable long term.

Division, glad to hear you all had a good time in a game I truly love and have sunk way too much time in... Its been amazing what they've managed to do in a year in a half... Quite the improvement and while I know Ubisoft sucks and we should all hate them I must admit I find myself pleased at their continued support of games that didn't have great starts or lost a huge chunk of playerbase. The Division, Rainbow Six Siege would have died long ago if Activision or EA ran them. They haven't given up on For Honor (from what I've read) and Wildlands had a free PVP mode added... and from what I've read people seem to like it quite a bit.

Anyhow, if anyone wants help leveling or looting in the Division don't hesitate to ask.... Sadly, my Friday nights have passed in favor of Sunday nights off so I'm a bit harder to get a hold off... But at least now I can stay up and watch the Chiefs suck every Sunday. :D/
I kind of avoided playing the game because of all the noise surrounding it even thought I scored it on the newegg glitch. Im kinda enjoying it, there is a lot of game here, maybe even too much game, even if you just play solo. It looks good and they did amazing with the city and the maps.

Was all the flap about the dark zone? I have a feeling it probably sucked, because lets be honest, people are dicks and ruin everything they touch. Ill get my 30-40 hours out of the game running with the bros and be more than satisfied. Division Fridays?

Loot heavy, classes. RPG hybrid though not strictly RPG.

Maybe classes.  "Loot heavy" isn't a requirement for RPGs or even something I'd expect out of one.  I mean, yeah, you get loot and upgrades in an RPG but Borderlands (and similar loot-driven games) take it to an extreme where everything is disposable versus traditional RPGs where attaining the Silver Blade of Dragonkin is a major goal.

Ultimately, I think "RPG" just gets thrown at basically everything, kind of like "open world".

Much like Weiler, I'm enjoying The Division and, much like Weiler, I had largely avoided it prior to this weekend because everyone constantly had their feathers in a ruffle over what was going on in the game.  An early mission against an especially bullet-spongey boss initially left me feeling negative about the combat but with time and upgrades I'm liking it much more.  I'd still say that the enemies soak a ridiculous amount of damage but I can handle it better and have fun with it.  While it can be fun on its own, it's definitely more enjoyable in a group.  I think a couple people bought it over the weekend so now we're committed to playing it for a bit.

Despite its constant loot churn, I'm not calling The Division an RPG either, so there.  :nottalking:

My man Cody got into rehab, or he got brainwashed and turned into a Republican.

Where's my Final Fight Anthology, Capcom? Gimme those sweet, sweet PC ports of Streetwise and Revenge!

FWIW, a couple of friends who bought Sword Coast Legends and played it said the negative reviews were not entirely fair.  It has some bugs that can be a major issue if you run into them, but the story and gameplay itself sound decent.   Here  is one of the more positive reviews of it.

I'm going to pick it up I just have to decide if I want to buy a five pack and find four more people to save a small amount of money or just throw card money at it on Steam and forget it.

Seedykeys has The Evil Within 2 + dlc for $18.69.   I have no idea if it has been cheaper than that but I figured I'd mention it.

I was exactly checking reviews and it seems what you said might be true. I have it whislisted since the pfff can't remember and honestly at this point I don't think I will play the game. I was waiting for it to be bundled or be very cheap on sale but none of those two premises are actually fullfilled.

Also little money left so cant afford more "buy and let it get dust for the Eternity"

Considering I don't own a switch or the game but am smart enough to know of the difference between the versions I think it's safe to assume you're suffering the terrible affliction of self projection. But please, do go on living your delusion.

Are there major differences b/t Ultra SF2 and say any of the older numerous SF2 versions?

I know Ultra SF2 has Violent Ken and Evil Ryu - but is there anything else?
Ultra Street Fighter 2 is an enhanced port of Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, it has all new art from Udon and a bunch of balance fixes over the original iterations of Street Fighter 2. It's nothing major really but HDR is my go to version of Street Fighter 2. It's a shame it's not in this bundle as HD Remix never made it to PC.

Is it enough to just add world in conflict and asscreed 4 to your account, as i just did? Or do i also have to download the uplay client and games? I won't be reunited with my pc until the end of the month.

I am asking because neither game has shown up in my transaction history on account.ubisoft.com.

But the mobile site is weird and may not be properly displaying items correctly. Not sure

Borderlands is a FPS (obviously) mixed with some ARPG elements (i.e. crazy loot galore and leveling-up system).

No way is Borderlands a usual type of RPG. Doesn't really do the dialogue trees thing and also doesn't really give you those branching choices.

It's overall just a silly comment. Companies with more money have more resources to produce games. Making ports doesn't take lots of work, remasters give new programmers projects to work on as they get into the industry. And it produces a great benefit to people who want to play again in high definition or on their new consoles introduces people who haven't played them before (who will always exist because there's always new people getting into gaming). But I'm sure some rando on the internet with a white supremacist profile pic knows better about what's good for Capcom than professionals working at Capcom.

Capcom is releasing tons of new content and has consistently introduced new IPs as well as new entries in their existing IPs for years. The idea that remasters or collections are hindering their innovation is not only the opposite of true, but a remarkably stupid thing to imagine would be true.

Also people telling others "don't promote this BUHBUHBUH" are insufferable. Buy whatever the fuck you want, don't buy what you don't want, and leave other people the fuck alone.

Is this loser from NeoGAF continuing to attack me because he misconstrued my completely fucking obvious profile pic of a neo-Nazi about to be punched along with the title "Imminently Punchable" as somehow white supremacist?

I never said anything bad or insulting to you, Ex~. Read my posts. All you do is continue to attack me and misconstrue my values like an asshole. Private message me to resolve this instead of writing shit about me constantly.

Man, I missed a chapter in the Blade soap opera.

I also missed whenever they added an investment broker, an Amish guy and a green-lipped flight attendant to Street Fighter, but then I haven't played since the SFII Champion game in my dorm lobby.

PURGE THE GAFFERS!

You probably didn't. It started with this jackass insinuating that he'd get me banned for my avatar which he apparently didn't know the context of and mischaracterized, then continued in his multiple paragraph diatribe about how I must be whatever-demographic-here, and just now concluded with him perpetuating his wrong assertion that I'm a white supremacist, then calling me insufferable like a pretentious hypocrite. A real piece of work considering the worst thing I said was "you sound like fun, I have a list for fun people."

Unless I am mistaken the deluxe version of sword coast legends is just tilesets and things for dungeonmasters. Considering the lack of enthusiasm in the game I imagine everyone will be just fine with the base version unless the deluxe stuff is counted as dlcs and you just have to catch them all.

Okay, so look, there's this movie out called Wonder, and it's basically the movie Mask (not The Mask, with Jim Carrey) where it's about some disfigured kid and blah blah everyone learns to look past his weird face and see his beautiful soul or whatever.

But that kid isn't ugly enough! He just looks like he was moderately burned or something, he's not a fuckin freakshow like those kinds of movies need. If you want to have someone overcome their physical deformity you need to make that kid look disgusting, like as soon as you see them you instinctively go EEUUUEGHGH, because then it makes the journey more satisfying at the end.

I put this here because I needed to vent my frustrations about such an obvious oversight, thank u

Ok, if. Larry can vent, I can vent here too. Why am I still watching The Walking Dead? It's not because of its intricate plot lines. It's not because of the character development. At this point I'm waiting for all the original characters to get their brains eaten! IS THAT TOO. MUCH TO ASK FOR??? GOD THIS SHOW MOVES SLOWER THAN MOLASSES IN THE ALASKAN WINTER!!!

CheapyD, please delete this and Larry's post above. Thank you.

"That is a tasty plasma. Maybe I could sneak in and watch Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. I don't care what anybody says, that's one of the best sci fi films ever made"

I bailed after the first season and I'm glad I did, because despite having a fantastic pilot the show just got worse and worse, even within those first few eps

So if you buy Sword Coast Legends now you pay $5+ for some mediocre game that you otherwise would have never bought and will never play, but you can tell all your grandkids that you have a game that was unlisted from steam, which is priceless.

It's to be removed on the 25th

And stuck in a humble $1 tier on the 26th :D
