This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

So I wanted to see what kind of game has $200 (per piece) DLCs, and it essentially boils down to this;

And the $200 DLC is a color-swap on the blocks.

My experience with my local Walmarts and Brickseek have been slightly less reliable than reading tea leaves.  I can't imagine committing myself to a thread of constant disappointment.

 
I have been playing Red Dead Redemption for the past week or so, what a great game. Maybe one day it will be ported over to PC like Bayonetta, it might even get a retail version 

 
I bought 2 copies each of Dishonored 2 + Death of the Outsider from that newegg deal the other day. One set for me, the other for Duke. Got them today and one of the Death of the Outsider codes is blank.

Tried contacting Newegg and they told me it's non-refundable/non-replaceable and told me to contact Bethesda.. lol.. this is gonna be great.

Take pics of proof of purchase for the receipt (black-out any important personal data) and the empty code on the panphlet/inside box/whatever they supposed to stick that, and e-mail it to Bethesda's support division.

Heck, if NewEgg has a service - I'd even e-mail them proof, if Bethesda says "no."

Hopefully, they can rectify the situation. Good luck. Wish you the best w/ this non-sense.

I've already done both. Newegg looked at the proof pic and didn't care.
 
It's too bad they've announced Red Dead Redemption 2 quite awhile ago, that it has release date around June 8, 2018, and there's no word yet on a possible PC release. I wonder if Rockstar will do a PC port and release it several months later like they did with GTA5, or if it won't come out on PC at all.

RDR is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played and it's approaching 8 years old in May. :oldman:

They really need to bring both RDR1 and RDR2 to the PC.

EDIT:

While we're at it...

Nintendo needs to bring all of THEIR Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Perfect Dark, and other titles to the PC.

Sony should bring The Last of Us series, God of War series, and Uncharted games to the PC.

Microsoft should bring ALL of the missing Gears of War games, Fable games, and Halo games to the PC.

Steam has given me no CD Key before, when a game using 3rd party activation/DRM actually had those keys run out.

Had to wait a few days, for Steam to get more CD keys for G4WL activation on DIRT 2 b/c that Codemasters Racing Pack was selling like crazy that weekend.

EDIT:

Of course, in the older days, retail games sometimes came w/ no DRM and no activation necessary sometimes - i.e. retail copies of Venetica & cel-shaded Prince of Persia Reboot. Just install and play without the disc.

Nothing good by Bethesda has been bundled before, Nooby.

For real though, no need to be cruel about it. No one deserves to get blank codes no matter what they buy.

I agree.

If you buy a game in a box and it needs/requires some kind of activation key to Steam, UPlay, BNet, whatever - it should be there in the box and should be able to activate-up on servers no problem.

Bethesda or NewEgg should be going out their way to refund; give out another key; and/or maybe throw in a Gift Card or something for Spoder's troubles.

What Spoder's going through is absolute BS.

EDIT:

I almost bought Dishonored 2 + Death of the Outsider combo just to get Death stand-alone and maybe get rid of Dishonored 2 (base). Wow, good thing I didn't.

Game Recommendation:

John The Zombie - $2.99 - 129 Tremor Coins - IG Bundle

Picked this up recently from Tremor and played it 30 minutes and loved it.  It's a buggy game that needs a lot of work, but it was still fun for me.  One review describes it as:

This game is so funny! It's like if a Zombie, GTA and Goat Simulator had a baby.

Id' say that's pretty accurate.  It's like Goat Simulator in the open world and main objective is achievements and random things, but it's not a physics simulator game.  You run around eating brains and completing objectives.  Probably doesn't have a ton of replay value, but the price is fair.  Wish someone could smooth the edges as I think this would be a great game with more work.
