What?!?! Any idea why?
Any copyrighted music in them? I only played Gunslinger, and don't recall for sure if there was or wasn't
Ubisoft doesn't like keeping old games on Steam.

Ubisoft doesn't own the Call of Juarez IP, it's possible that license/contract is ending, as Gunslinger is soon 5 years old.

Somehow Bound in Blood survived this tho, maybe it's going soon too.

ooh man, thats actually kind of tempting
If you loved System Shock 2 (RPG/FPS combo on a space-ship); Bioshock series (FPS/RPG mixture with excellent art everywhere); Dishonored series (some stealth mechanics & incredible world-building); and Dead Space series (some Zero-G areas) - yeah, Prey 2017 will be your game.

Sure, there's some new twists here like the awesome GLOO Gun - which can be used to freeze enemies (to stop them from moving or you can then shatter them) and even build platforms to walk across and even jump on.

Prey 2017 is awesome. I do need to get back to it and finish it, at some point.

Prey was my sleeper hit of 2017.  I got it in a doublepack with Wolfenstein 2 and, while I liked W2, Prey was a much more memorable game.  Well worth the $14 in my opinion.

Good price on prey.. but I think I'll play the waiting game with amz.  Picked up Dishonored 2 physical/retail for $10.33 a few days ago.  Guessing prey might drop to that

Also based on reviews it looks like the phsical Prey might come with preorder dlc, if that matters.

What's the best budget headphones/microphone set for someone with larger than average ears?  A lot of headsets don't set comfortably and I don't have a lot of cash for any high end models to throw out anytime soon.

AKG K 240's are the best budget headphones I've ever worn. I have a ginormus dome (one size fits all my ass) and these fit absolutely fine. These produce a flatter sound (not overwhelmed by bass) but the reproduction accuracy is great for the price ($68 on Amazon right now).

*edit* I just saw that you want a mic also which these do not have. I have not felt any cans that had a mic that were anywhere near as comfortable as the AKG's. I would just get a stand alone mic personally. I have 2 sets of headphones w/mics (Astro A50's and some Corsair bumblebee's) but neither are in the same stratosphere comfort wise as the AKG's.

the 240's are great, however just remember they are open backed, everyone around you can also hear what you're listening to. So if thats an issue for you, then avoid

Just started playing Gun, it's a pretty old game (released in 2005), but it's pretty good. It's about as close as you can get to Red Dead Redemption on PC, highly recommend it so far to anybody who hasn't played it.

Yeah, GUN is pretty good; agreed. The gameplay is a blast and the real reason to play this. The voice-acting is quite good, but it seems like they kill off or write off characters too fast before they actually get interesting.

Regardless, game's a blast and definitely worth playing. Just a lot of action and fun; that can't be denied.

Now, where the heck is that RD Redemption PC port...?

Not to mention an amazing soundtrack.

I haven't tried it on PC, pretty sure I own it, but, yeah, it was a lot of fun on 360.

Addendum about Gun which I lauded earlier: it appears to be buggy and it just crashed and there's no autosave so I just lost like 2 hours of progress. Word to the wise if you play it save a lot. I'm probably done playing it though

Can't recall b/c it has been a while (i.e. since it was at retail box on CD's on PC; don't own it on Steam)...

...but can you save at any time?

EDIT:

Would be nice if Activision had a new Activision HB where GUN Steam-version was in there.

Have read some rather mixed things about GUN's PC port. Seems to be a game from an era where XBOX 360 versions of games had superior visuals, which seems rather bizarre now. The Godfather, Need for Speed Most Wanted, and Just Cause are some examples of such titles, where the PC ports tended to be based on (at the time) last gen technology. Lack of widescreen and substandard Xbox 360 controller support plagues a lot of titles from around 2005ish as well. EA sports games were the most blatant examples, at least until FIFA 11, which finally brought the PC version up to current gen standards.

Does anyone have issues with stalker shadow of chernobyl running on W10 this is the 1st game that completely crashes and restarts my computer.

A few ideas.

IIRC, in-game VSync On has been broken with newer OS's for STALKER games.

You need to sync to 60FPS somehow and/or force V Sync On.

Did you try...

Forcing V Sync on via NVidia Control Panel or NVidia Inspector?

Syncing the game to 60FPS via MSI Afteburner or NVidia Inspector?

Try either one...or both.

You might need to run the game in compatibility mode for Older OS's that the game actually supported back in the day, too. Go to the game folder, find STALKER's actual EXE file, right click, run in compatibility mode. Try those OS's it was built for - i.e. try the Windows XP modes.

Good luck.

EDIT:

Another idea - if you have issues still, you could always try running the game w/ Steam Overlay disabled, too.

i mean it worked fine for me til it crashed, and not sure what it looked like on 360 vs pc. that said when a game is 13 years old it's not gonna look great no matter what so whether its on pc or console or whatever it doesn't make much of a difference to me, and a game that old there's always a large chance you can find some graphics mod for it anyway

Looking around $40-60. Don't need anything amazing as I don't play much where I am going to be needing to pinpoint where the sound is coming from or anything. Just a good day to day set that won't put a lot of background noise from my end into the feed and sound clear.

Since everyone in this thread loves pizza, Little Caesars is giving out free $5 pizzas during lunchtime hours today if you feel like standing in a long line....

Tremendous! We're making America great again people!

Gunslinger is one of my favorite FPS games of all time. Tremendous fun.
You promised you would make Steam and game deals great again. Instead they've all gone to shit. You also said you'd build a wall around Steam to keep out the trash games and asset flips, but now those games are flooding the store. I'm starting to think you sold us a bill of goods.

It's time for you to stop posting on CAG and go drain the Steam swamp.

I just like the irony of Trumpcat and his highly capitalistic Republican cabinet having such a relationship with Putincat that they invite him to the White House and have email correspondence with the Kremlin, while neolibs in Che Guevara hats screech incessantly about Russian commie conspirators because their golden girl isn't president. It was all Bernie's/Trump's/Putin's/Stein's/Obama's/Assange's/Russia's/men's/whatever her next book is about's fault!

A word of advice: It's hard to stir the pot when there's only a half inch of soup left in it.
Nah we know Trumpcat is as guilty as Clintoncat, I just think it's funny that people can't accept the one good thing to come out of this shit show administration. I still get negative Trump-Russia news alerts from AP on my phone every day.

Unless by "stirring the pot" you mean everyone migrated to Spoderfox discord, in which case I hope the people who've called me retarded for liking Bernie Sanders and think I'm a white nationalist because they don't understand the reference to warreni have fun in the server half-run by a shit who used to tell people I stole money from them when I hosted group buys at cost because he wanted their business. ;)
