Bought Hades and my credit card wouldn't work. Paypal went through fine. Didn't get charged tax which is pretty rare nowadays.

Epic having a "Mega" sale and it's actually good? What?

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/

Any game over $14.99 gets an additional $10 off out of Epic's pocket. Works on pre-orders. Notable deals:

Walking Dead Final Season - $5
Epic glitch? It's $5.99 now

Metro Last Light Redux is $2.24 on there too.

Also. the $10 off any game over $14.99 is FAKE NEWS. For example, RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures is marked down from $20.99 to $13.64.

Epic put up quantic dream games for pre-order so they're $10 off now too. From reading on Reddit, Epic's regional pricing is crazy; EU is getting kinda screwed by the pricing and some countries are getting Metro Exodus and Detroit for $5.

Rollercoaster Tycoon Adventures shows as 9.49 to me, but when I click on it, I get an error. All Walking Dead shows as 4.99 to me and I was just able to click on those earlier, but am now getting a 404 error. Last Light Redux is 4.99.

Well Epic got me to pick up the TWD: Michonne, TWD: New Frontier, and TWD: Season 4 since I cannot get them on Steam and it was only $15.  Also to note is their store is garbage.  Slow loading on my end and I had to do a transaction for each game instead of just adding to a cart (at least not that I could see).

Really fun game. Still no replacement for SSX.
Steep is free though. ;)

Is SSX still being sold?

Also.... "Wow" @ all of those Epic Games sales & exclusives. Quantic Dream stuff (Heavy Rain & Beyond); and TWD Stuff - looks like I'm gonna have to buy a few games from them. Decent prices.

Meh.

Feel like I'm making a deal...with the devil here.

Steep is a great freebie from Ubisoft. I wonder what standard edition freebie is going to be given away next. Maybe Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs 2, or Far Cry Primal.

Rime, the next Epic freebie, has already been in some bundles, but I didn't already have it on Steam.

And speaking of Epic and Ubisoft, purchases of Ubisoft games on the Epic Store were disabled a few days ago, because of Uplay integration issues.

you never had to have it installed to get the freebies
I didn't have an account because every variation of Nothing, N0thing, Nothing_, etc was taken so I got irritated with stupid EGS and didn't make an account because they were just going to mine all my infos and sell it to stupid 13yr olds to hack my Fortnite account anyways. Do you play Fortnite?

Hey TrumpCat, this whole mess is your fault.

You promised to drain the PC gaming swamp. Instead now we have a trade war between Valve Corporation and the People's Republic of Epic.

You also promised to build a wall around the Steam store, but there's still no wall and Steam is overrun with asset flips and other low effort garbage games.

The Mooby report provides evidence that you colluded with Yanni Cappuccino and Groupees LLC to undermine the bundle curation process, and as a result Humble and other bundle sites have gone to shit.

That's because of Democat obsruction, everyone knows it. Give me another 2 years because of the WASTE OF TIME Mooby report then vote for me in 2022! I alone can fix this problem! #TrumpCat2022 #stillnocollusion

I think the budget question is misleading. What if you spend all of your time trying to maximize the # of available games you can play by minimizing the budget per title? Would that make you more or less of an ultimate gamer?

Guess you could make a new epic games account and "visit" brazil or turkey and get cheap games...then change your region to US (there is a drop down, but it might lock and make you contact CS after buying)

Hopefully Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

Klei also took down Oxygen Not Included because its price after all discounts ($8.74) was far and away an historical low.

Anyone know where "Put on a sale that isn't a total clusterfuck" falls on the Trello roadmap?

People buying from Epic?  You are all traitors.  Your names have been noted.  Also, who buys TWD when you can just watch it for free on YouTube?

I think that Sega Genesis Collection ($7.49 on Fanatical) is my 50th game purchase for Steam but yet to play a single game on Steam. Just really LMAO but crying on the inside at the same time.

So Hades has been four different prices today

$20 -> $7 -> $15 -> $10

Better buy it quick before it shoots up to $30 at midnight.

This isn't Epic's fault. Some devs weren't happy with the final price of their games after the Epic discount so they pulled their games or upped the price. This is like when shady sellers raise their prices when there's an eBay coupon. If you want to be mad at someone be mad at the greedy devs.

I'm pretty sure Hades was one of those things like a Best Buy sales glitch were they meant to do 33% off and instead they set it at 33% total price (67% off).  It was fixed, then devs decided to increase the discount to 50% off in order to be fair.

lmao at the dominant topic of conversation the past few months being about how shitty epic and their store is because of lack of features but as soon as a sale pops up people buy a bunch of stuff

Nope. Hades was 15% off. Epic is running a promo directly from Epic, nothing to do with the devs, taking an additional $10 off any game over $14.99. this additional discount brought it down to $16.99. Devs didn't like that so they raised the price to counteract. It's a shitty move. The epic discount has nothing to do with the dev pricing.

Exactly this.

The dev's think selling the game at $7 is "devaluing" it, but alas, it has nothing to do with them...as Epic was fronting the discount. The developers are being scummy AF and raising the price l o l

Great devs
