That is just baffling. I feel like Lego is just trolling Star Wars fans to see how far they’ll go just to get new minifigs.

I usually think AFOLs on Brickset are overly dramatic but this set deserves to get dunked on

The Disney tax would be a tad more digestible if the set itself wasn’t so god awful
The backlash has been universal, hope that gets LEGOs attention

LEGO fans being over dramatic? Whatever do you mean?

It will still sell because it will be the only set with that yellow robot. Even if it doesn't though LEGO will use it to justify not making playsets saying they don't sell.

I'm truly amazed someone at LEGO thought this was a good idea. Why not just give it a black base like those three diorama sets? Then charge even more.

I guess the costumes and the characters can let lego cover both Halloween and Christmas. Looks like only the knight has any tie-in with 90th anniversary stuff. Disappointed I fell for that rumor.

Also the CMFs are still 4 euro? Nuts

The European prices for 99% of sets is completely ridiculous. Then there will be one $150 set that's 150 Euro and Europeans will bitch and moan. Remember that their prices even include a 20% tax.

So, I am testing the waters with selling Legos on Ebay, and I excluded all international shipping back from years ago because I didn't want the hassle.  I didn't know that there are companies now that ship out stuff for foreign buyers.  I'm supposed to ship to the company in the US and they ship it overseas.  The kicker is, Ebay charges me an international fee because the buyer is in another country even though I don't want to sell internationally.   Ebay's solution is for me to cancel the order due to an incorrect address, and then I have to ask every time for Ebay to give me back the international fee.  They could just block international buyers like they do shipping, but they would lose potential money that way.  Shipping prices are stupid enough without the extra hassle of figuring out if the address is legit each time.

Just do it through eBay Global. Block international buyers, enable GSP, and you'll only have to ship to KY.

Picked up the modular Police Station to get the Forestmen set (and little car thing) … I originally was going to buy a $100 set and $50 set, but lately the value has felt lacking when I buy smaller sets and the modular had been on my list for awhile.

The timing of these GWP sets feels like it’s designed to make you spend money between major releases (like the Castle) … but I keep falling into the trap. Wish the police station modular was retiring at the end of this year to semi-justify my purchase, but pretty sure it’s bookshop that’s out and this was just another frivolous LEGO expenditure (still feels better than buying Bitcoin though 😜).

I felt the same way today but this GWP is easily my all-time favorite for the nostalgia reasons.

Yeah … part of why I put the order in today. I originally wanted to wait for the LEGO con announcements this weekend, but it feels like that GWP is going to be super popular with collectors and could sell out fast (also … I’m really tempted to get more than one … that’s not enough Forestmen if you get just one … more Forestpeople!!)

A YouTuber and former designer who got an early review copy of the hideout claims it will return as a GWP in August. Hopefully that pans out better than the blue milk Luke will return rumor.

I would love a Wolfpack return.

Disney's bitch, LEGO, made everyone remove the Avatar pictures from their websites just so it can be revealed in two days.

Didn't know that certain color Lego boxes fade when others don't. Ninjago and Sponge Bob Boxes look like crap now.
All sitting in a closet on the same shelf, same amount of light.

I have a police car Hess truck from 1993. I played with it but stuck it back in the box. Front hood is yellow, everything else is fine. Never made sense to me.

My original SW Imperial shuttle has pieces that have yellowed so much they look tan, yet they're connected to pieces that are still bright white. I don't ever remember having it in direct sunlight.

I think I started watching at a good time because the reveals started happening. I was hoping for more CMFs, I think they only showed 3 of the next series.

I'm excited for the castle and classic space. Nostalgia is a helluva drug.

The $50 price increase on the castle feels 😒 but … probably still going to buy it. On the fence I guess … will probably wait and buy it in-store rather than preorder.

Interior shots include updated versions of classic shields from the yellow castle, with the exception of no white knight's cross. Lego just gonna sidestep that one. :whistle2: Just like they're lion knights now, not "crusaders."

I have one. I think it was only available through S@H? That's a pretty crazy price since the value is all in the stickers and those seemed pretty rough/crooked.
