Target has Tales of Symphonia for the GC for only $23.44 starting tomorrow, Friday morning. Sales ends Saturday at 11 pm. Great price for one of the best games on the GameCube, almost $27 off.
So this is true. I'm happy now that I didn't buy it at 34.99 when they had it. I'm so picking this up. If they happen to run out of it, would they give rainchecks or no?
no rainchecks? are you sure? i work at target, and i was getting ready to raincheck a bunch of stuff... i think the only things that can't be rainchecked are the ones that say "quantities limited" in the ad. i'll double check though...
Target is a great black friday store . . . all of the prices in their ads are for 2 days (not 6 hours). And you can get rainchecks for most anything.
Last year, I got rainchecks for toys for my kids. And a few DVDs . . . I saw the substitution policy . . . but never thought to use it 0
You should be able to get a raincheck for Tales . . . if its over 33%, it won't have the substitution policy on it . . . making it harder to use for games.
I always hear great things about this game. I rented it the first week it came out and played for like 30 hours. I don't get what everybody sees in it. I think it's a lackluster RPG on a console starving for RPG's right now. I'd still pick it up for $20 though. I don't think I could justify spending $50 on it like all of these other people aer saying. (Or any game for that matter)
So it's confirmed they give rainchecks? I just want the normal raincheck, though I guess the %tage one couldn't hurt either.
Don't expect to get the % off raincheck because they stop giving out those. We learn that from the Wind Waker dea.
Very good deal for a game that I only hear good things about--this is one of the only things I'll be picking up tomorrow. Thanks for the deal!
This is indeed a great game, possibly the best RPG I've played this generation (just GC and PS2)! Since I refuse to be a part of the mob mentality today, I'll probably roll out there later on tonight or tomorrow and see if there is one copy left, just so I can have a backup! That's how much I like the game, I've only done that for a few other games ever!
Getting such a polished title for 24 bucks and it's an RPG for a console without all that many is probably one of the best BF deals I've seen for games...
I picked up mine... the Target I went to had PLENTY left... so if you're in GA and know the Target on Lavista Rd, please go... there's hardly a crowd (at least when I went at 9)
Went to Target, and man was that place a fire hazard. Empty carts were literally laying on their sides on the floor, and people would not move to save your soul. Luckily, 5 copies of Tales were left. Picked up a copy, and sped the hell outta there. The game rocks, played it for an hour and a half, and enjoyed every second of it. Anyone else notice that the story seems to borrow heavily on Square's Mana series?
Thanks again NintendoFanGirl. Great deal. I went there and due to all the hustle and bustle and all the people around me, I nearly forgot to pick one up. There were only two left and one the packaging was slightly torn so there I might be still one left but I doubt it. I was thinking of picking up Star Ocean also but decided not to. Overall I must say it was one of my better BF experiences.
