I have a chance to purchase a Sega Nomad for around 60.00 bucks, It doesn't come with any games or anything. Is this system worth It and If so what are some good games for It ?

Are those good enough to buy a new system for..I bought a Sega Saturn just so I could play Dragon Force..which Is worth the price of admission.

If it works and is in good condition than go for it.

LMAO this is soooo strange. I just got a nomad and a saturn...the reason i got the saturn is dragon force^^. Well i have to say i wasnt as impressed with the Nomad as i thought i would be. Its cool and all but i dont think its worth the high prices it can go for. 60 sounds good if its complete and has AC but in the end its all up to you

I have a Nomad but never take it outta the house.
I only use it when i'm sitting on the toilet.

Make sure u have some rechargable batteries!!!

Get it. There are more than enough amazing Genesis games to make it worthwhile.

I'm jealous. I've never even seen a Nomad, let alone had a chance to buy one...

does the sega nomad support all things that the sega genesis did? Does game genie, pro action replay work? some people may call me a cheater but there are some really impossible genesis games out there.

I've got one and it's pretty cool. There are a lot of good Genesis games - Shining series, sports games, Sonic series. I thought I would use it a lot more than I do but I just wind up playing my Genesis. If anyone is interested let me know, I hardly use it.

Ahh the Nomad. I remember seeing one of those in grade school when someone brought it in.

I just checked ebay and it seems like they are somewhat rare. Wouldn't buy one though, never really played genesis games...I just got a hold of a DC so time to get games for that.

I couldn't believe my eyes, ok so I sold it on ebay for over $100.00 so yeah definitely a good deal for 60.00 I would buy it!! and the good game for it would be any games you like to play on the genesis sega system cause Suh it plays sega games... My favorite sega game is Time killers!

Its worth it if your a hardware collector, if you just want to play games get the Game Park handheld emulator and download the Sega emualtor for it.

This is my next purchase, be sure to get the new backlit verison.
I think a few genny games don't work on nomad (Virtua Racing is one I know of). Not sure if game genie will work, but i'd assume it will...
Virtua Racing won't IIRC play due to the FX chip (similar to the SNES' for Star Fox and Yoshi's Island) that enhances grafx and provides rotation.

IIRC, while SNES only had 2 games in North America with the FX chip, Virtua Racing was the only one Sega did with it. It was costly to make games with it.

Also, I remember there is an A/V cable accessory so you can plug the Nomad into the TV for the "Genesis on the go". I don't know how comfortable you can play having to use the Nomad as a controller though.

WoW I forgot all about this topic....I got the Nomad and have a few games for It I'm looking for Gunstar Heroes anyone here play It ?

That's weird that I just saw this topic. A local video game shop called Gamer's Heaven had a complete Nomad for $100. I thought $100 was pretty high, so I passed.

How much are these worth nowadays?

That's strange - VR works on mine. I think you're confusing it with the Genesis 3 - the cheap SEGA Genesis put out by Majesco. VR doesn't work with that.

Sega Nomad is awesome.
all Mortal Kombat games looks beatiful.
this system is worth now about 100, if complete and mint even $200.
