I actually had one of his cases too. His case was much closer in terms of quality- plastic density/thickness felt very close to originals and they actually looked newer (LRG case had a ton of scuffing for what they said was new, so maybe I got a spare defect copy that had). But the disc trays in the Amazon link did not have the little stub lock or whatever that would lock it into the back part of the case so it would just fall out.
There was a story about this, how there are two people working on replacement longbox jewel cases, can't remember where. This guy had no idea LRG was going to release reproduction cases as well. He said he had them made without the stub locks because it was cheaper but that since LRG's had them, his second run would have the locks as well.
EDIT* Here it is: https://kotaku.com/t...ccid-1825364528
I think the Amazon guy revised his design at one point but I never bought
Has anyone (YouTubers or website) reviewed these new cases by chance?
I got one of their Saturn cases as a solution for my damaged Snatcher cassette thingy from back whenever and if that case is the same as the ones they're selling here, then I'd pass on this. I have 20+ something Saturn games with good cases (no cracks but have other wear/scratches/scuffing) and the case I received felt notably cheaper than the legit cases. It did have the same design though, which is nice, but def did not fee. I'm wonder if it's been improved since then but... not worth risking for $80. Wish I could just buy 1 to test.
I imagine they are the same cases they've been using in some of the CE's, I noticed the person that had been selling cases on Amazon that competed with LRG's ran out, so I wouldn't be surprised if LRG had just been waiting for them to run out of stock to bring theirs to market at a higher price. The Amazon person says they are gonna have more in September (https://us.amazon.co.../dp/B07GBMRQJW/)
The game rips 100% and I've been playing it all week without it freezing once. I don't understand how this is possible and I also don't understand how games get parts of the top disc label missing with scratches all over the top and pinholes. I have launch PS3 games that have been played for years and have been left laying out, dropped, etc. and they have no scratches so I don't see how anyone can scratch a Bluray this bad.I also think people should be careful about the discs they put in their systems. Just because it plays doesn't mean it's good for the laser. There's a few badly resurfaced games from GS that work fine but you can tell the system is struggling to read the disc and the fan is loud meaning the system is working hard to make it play. Especially PS2 discs. This only happens with resurfaced GS discs. The discs work on the PS2 but the laser is louder than normal and the system is hotter when I'm done playing. I think some of these shitty condition games have the possibility of breaking our consoles even if they technically do work because the system is having a hard time reading them.
How did you rip the game, not buying this claim, did it match a known Redump hash?
I'm curious as to why LRG is getting away with selling repros of N64 carts. I thought that was frowned upon? If they can sell repros (counterfeits) then why is it wrong for some random idiot on eBay to sell bootleg N64 games as long as they change the cartridge color or sticker image? And why are their repros so high? I thought they priced things for materials and such but if you can buy repros on Chinese sites for $10-$20 then it doesn't make sense that LRG would be charging $40 plus shipping. I also don't understand why shipping something in a bubble mailer is almost $6 from them.
I haven't seen a disassembled lrg cart so I'm not sure what boards they contain, they could be using a domestic source instead of getting bulk Chinese ones
Rare Walmart variant cover.
CIB but black generic box:
Now this one is shocking. It is disc only and the disc is scratched and you can see through it, but it somehow works... I can post videos or pictures of the game on my TV if you don't believe me. I always heard that if you can see through the disc it wouldn't read. I guess that's just a myth. How does a disc get scratched like this? It has to be on purpose, I don't see how playing it can cause this. But why would someone purposely scratch it on the top?
There is 100% no way that disc is fully readable, having dumped 15 copies at this point every copy with holes failed to rip properly and would load in but eventually fail with a dre
Not a deal but it's been out of stock for awhile now. I've spotted Ring Fit Adventure for Switch at several different stores lately, they seem to have gotten restocked in a limited manner. $69.88 but they're selling for over 100 on ebay.
Ring fit is in stock every day now
My order actually just showed up out of the blue... wasn't even in my USPS informed delivery email. There's also two diff tracking numbers on here for whatever reason. Oh well, guess I should be happy I got my item.
I had a copy of worms Armageddon get delivered that didn't even have the game on the box a couple weeks ago.
Fyi, pay for the faster shipping if you don't want to wait, in getting things next day with that, otherwise they sit in carrier pickup hell
I guess I assumed if they didn't have any replacements (online as well) that I would be refunded, but that was probably a stupid assumption. If that doesn't turn out to be the case I believe I have 30 days to get a refund on the $3 warranty, even if I don't, it's $3.
GameStop will refund you regardless, I returned $415 worth of NCAA 14 and got a refund on the spot
So if the discs have any type of hole when holding it up to light, it is 100% damaged/unplayable? Or it just might have damage? If so, I've been checking wrong. I've only looked for heavy scratches/middle ring cracks in the recent 100s of games I bought. Never thought about checking out the top and holding it up to light. That's gonna take some time.
Looks like they brought back the B1 over $30 deal get X off any preowned game back, yet they bumped it down from 50% off to 40% off lol.
I test rip all of my discs in a PS3 to check for issues, all of the NCAA couldn't complete that had issues
It’s so ashamed that they sold so many copies of something that’s obviously damaged. Like you said, I wouldn’t be surprised that they keep reselling them until customers don’t return them.
Did you return all of your bad copies to the same store?
Yes I returned all to the same store, the rep working did look at the discs and saw how bad they were and did put them in the system as defective returns for my refund, but who knows if that stops them from getting back to the warehouse and just recirculated. I stopped buying them because I have little faith that I won't just get back one of the ones I returned
It's probably from their shitty resurfacing machines that they use to destroy perfectly good games
most of my copies had no signs that they had been resurfaced, some of the copies actually had RETURN TO WH - DEFECTIVE stickers on the cases, hidden under those black stickers theyve been covering things up with lately. Really feels like they had a stack of NCAA returns and somebody decided to just toss them in as inventory despite a lot of them being defectives
Try over $200 on Amazon if it's complete and the disc is in good shape.
of the 13 I got from Gamestop, 6 came with original cases (original NCAA case has a holo NFL sticker on front also), none came with the insert (I dont believe the game had an actual manual)
I bought ncaa football 14 ps3 for $55 shipped. I pray to God that it's complete.
I bought 13 copies 3 weeks ago. 9 of the 13 copies had holes and scratches through the top layer. Another 1 of the 4 good copies had a small hole in the edge of the top layer but it was outside of the game data and ripping the disc multiple times finished without error. I returned them to a Gamestop a week and a half ago, wouldn't be surprised if they are being recirculated.
I'm aware of 4 other copies recently purchased that also were pockmarked with holes and scratches. Goodluck
