Extra glad that I pulled half my credit stack out in eShop cards yesterday since stores are now closed in CA. I've already sold them all.

Cashed out half my credit on eShop cards yesterday and almost already sold all of them.

umm how’s it dumb?? Cause he doesn’t want to get knocked in the head for his $700 trade card??

Pretty much. I have a lot on my trade card, announcing how much is on it out loud can potentially put a target on me. You don't go to a bank and then the teller yells, "YO THIS GUY GOT $5000!"

I had a rep the other day say out loud how much was on my trade card after a trade in. Thanks dude. :|

With tax doesn’t it net out?

It does, so it's pretty much 800 free points or so.

Super Mario Maker 2 value held at $35 base. I'll trade mine in and pick up new tomorrow.

New ad is up, March 8-14, 2020.

https://gamestop.a.b...ic/OLFSI_030820

Switch games: Yoshi's Crafted World, Mario Maker 2, Mario Party, Mario Sonic Olympic Games, NEW, $40.

20% off Nintendo collectables and select controllers (the shitty ones, not Joy-Cons, apparently).

XBOX One X, $300, /yawn.

$35 trade credit for: Zelda Breath of the Wild (!!!), Mario Kart 8, Pokemon Sword / Shield.

+20% pre-order bonus's hold, though some releasing soon (or already released).

Well damn. I could trade in my Mario Maker 2, get $45.5 in credit and buy it back and get the points and break even on the credit.

Nabbed 3 ps4 and 1 xbone copy of Div 2 today from BB. Traded in all but 1 ps4 copy. I'll do that after work.

The guy at one store hinted at cheating the system. But really dude, I'm just following the rules. :)

I am debating trading in my orig xbox one. It dropped from 75 to 70 recently. Not sure I should wait longer lol

Funny enough, I finally got around to putting together one that had a bad psu. Turns out it's on firmware 2.71 and it works great. I won't bother trading that one in.

Once I got past a certain age and no longer had any shits to give, I kinda like checking out with a random selection of stuff and smile at the cashier ringing me out. I get whatever the wife tells me to get. Like when I check out with yeast cream I make it a note to scratch myself a ton.

You're showing us receipts of bananas and enemas, we know you don't have any shits to give.

Supposedly 3-4 of those LG 60" TVs in stock near me but I don't need one, so good luck. 3412 College Ave

That does not really answer my question, but thanks for taking the time to be an ass hat..

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Buying games.... to play?? What a novel concept.

You're in the Gamestop thread, no one buys games to play here.

The only thing I see at the moment is that there is a 1-day overlap of the 20% bonus for buying an expensive controller / headset / etc (over $49.99), tomorrow.

I suppose each set of expensive 3 games could potentially be traded back for just a dollar+ shy of the original price, plus 4k+ points (buying/selling), plus 20%...  But, if a bunch of pricey sets got traded in at once, it could mean a free'ish accessory.  Some games lost their $35 base recently though, so I dunno.

Maybe there will be a blunder with the 50%-off set of games, the titles of which I haven't seen yet.

I'm kind of wiped this week though.  There may be some good games to put on the shelf I suppose.

Looked into this: $35 x 1.3 = $45.50 x 3 = $136.50 credit if you trade towards an accessory.

With no longer getting 10% off, one would pay $110 + tax, probably around $119, so you'd get about $17.5 towards that accessory. Seems to be too much work to get about 30% or less off a new accessory when you could buy used from elsewhere for cheaper.

B2G1 is good to get stuff you want to play, but otherwise with no CSAC available, not really worth it for flipping IMO.

New converted to preowned. So you might get a new, sealed copy.

I just went and did an instore pickup and got Sam Sho brand new for $7.xx

GameStop around me said titles converted to pre-owned are unsealed. Why do they convert new titles to pre-owned?

Not always true, unless if your particular store bothers to open new copies for some reason.

An original 1TB Xbox One trades in for $80 at Gamestop, but if you want a Walmart/Target gift card instead, you can trade it in there for up to $70 or $63.74.

Walmart:

https://walmart.cexchange.com/

Target:

https://targettrade-in.com

Might as well just sell it on Offer Up/FB Marketplace/CL and get $100.

It won't trigger the promo for 4/$20. They are not supposed to be combined.

That's a shame, thank you for the info.

#14261721 The Gamestop Thread

Posted by Kuros on 04 February 2020 - 07:27 PM in Video Game Deals

4/$20 is in-store only and you can only get DotDs in-store if you buy online for store pickup.

Would buying DotD in store not work for the 4/20?

#14261717 The Gamestop Thread

Posted by Kuros on 04 February 2020 - 07:20 PM in Video Game Deals

FYI Friday the 13th: The Game (PS4) is the DotD for $9.99 pre-owned and gets $7 base trade in.

RE7 (X1) is also $8.99 but only gets $3 base.

Good for those 4/20 flips.

He's on the cover of 2k17's Legend Edition. Includes a Kobe poster, trading cards, and lenticular cover.

Thank you, I missed that in my research.

Edit: Yep, prices are bumping up on the Legend Edition.

Does anyone know the last nba 2k game where kobe was on the active roster? I'm guessing 2k17 since he retired in 2016.

Speculation on if prices will go up? If so, 2k10 had Kobe on the cover and from what I see, 2k16 was the last one to have him the roster.
