#14331286 Limited Run Games Thread - Global Outbreak of...Delayed Shipping

Posted by itzd4n on Today, 05:19 AM in Video Game Deals

Likely, but not necessarily. Switch Vita collecting allowed them to grow into what they are today but will the next gen do the same thing when Switch tapers off? Switch is already not as hot collecting wise as it was a couple years ago with LRG and others cannibalizing their own biggest market. And no one knows anything about PS5/Xbox Series X yet. What the minimum order quantities will be, how hard they're gonna try to pivot to digital, even if dedicated collecting for the systems will ever take off. If you're not growing, you're stagnating and I could see a future where LRG decline pretty fast with all the ill will they've built up.

from talking with the manager at my local gamestop, he mentioned almost all stores got 10+ of these in stock. Plus with Target, and Best Buy getting them as well and i even seen a few at my local Meijer, i wouldn't be surprised these are flooded on the market.

I went to my local BBY today and saw they easily had 30+ locked in a cage

I really like the premise, but

  • Each display is not guaranteed to contain the full set of figures as each individual figure comes in a blind box.
Has pissed me off since it was first listed. With how much they price gouge their CEs you know they want people ordering multiple sets to try and get the full set forking over more and more money.

It would be a really cool item if it guaranteed the full set.

IIRC yes, you don't get the "full" set because the 8th figure is the chaser, but you do get all 7 figures pictured in each box. This is normal with blind boxes, from every company that produces them.

Catherine Full Body PS4 - Steelbook Edition was $17.98 on clearance at Target today. 207-34-0365 Launch editions are mixed with the standard editions.

Code Vein PS4 was marked down to $8.98. 207-34-1749 $14.xx at other stores where they had tons of copies.

Thanks for this, I finally made the time to go check this at a target a little out of the way, but finally hit on one of these target clearance deals.

Whole stack behind behind the barricade was the steelbook version of Catherine and they also had overflowing amount of Code Vein which I also tried to get, but their system wouldn't allow the sale to go through, so was only able to get 1 of 2 here.

I grabbed a spare of Catherine, if anyone was also looking to grab this PM me.

NISA has another reverse cover voting contest, this time for Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Voting here: https://nisamerica.c...ntest/index.php

Votes can be placed once per day until contest end.

Personally went with cover #2 since she's not on any other covers, although cover #1 was a close second, since they both offer a darker tone compared to the main cover.

Well they added that late in the preorder process.

It's almost like sometimes best buy has to take time and make a decision internally before expressing their interest in placing an order for an item. who knew

Really hoping the Bloodborne dlc is on sale tomorrow, ive become addicted to this game after taking 3 years to beat cleric beast.

This reminds me I still need to reinstall the game to play the DLC. I grabbed that the last time it was on sale, but felt pressured to play it as I have to re-learn the combat again since it was so long ago that I beat it

Anyone have an opinion on Fallout 4 GOTY? I played some of the base game way back when it first came out but never finished it. I honestly don't remember if I traded it in for something or just got bored of it. Is the DLC and mods (I know PS4 mods are lacking), worth the grab before the sale ends tomorrow?

I recently finished it a couple months back. Only 2 of the DLC is actually worth it IMO, Far Harbor and Automatron. Both add unique side stories and enemies, the rest are mostly useless. Nuka World might be a good addition too as well, but I stopped playing the game altogether partway through, so I can't say for certain, although it at least has it's own story.

If you stopped playing bc you got bored of it, then it's not worth it so you need to figure out why you dropped it in the first place.

There's an option on the listing page for no *Hypergun extras, so it is likely they will have a wider release.

If their preorder stock isn't sold out by the release date of October 27, there's always the chance that they do a promo for it. The most recent one that comes to mind is Crystal Crisis which they knocked $20 off for with a promo code, but that's been out for a while. Speaking of which, the only known "available" promo code is the one they give for signing up for the newsletter.

ffffuuuuuuuu- I wish I had seen this sooner.

In case anyone is just seeing the above posts now, like I am, don't even bother checking the switch selection. Anything halfway decent for sub $21 have already been cleared out by the vultures.

You may get lucky with some PS4 titles, however.

Anyone else having downloading issues through the store? Can’t seem to queue things right now From any device (not to mention the store is basically broken when using my phone).

I haven't been able to add things to my download queue for a couple months now from my phone. I've been manually searching things up in the PS store on my ps4 to add them.

I went back and forth on the collector's edition of 'Samurai Jack' all week, but would also like to see some reviews. A couple of the gameplay videos and interviews with accompanying gameplay made it look pretty alright, there seems to be quite a bit of variety in levels, but I'm not sold. I'm not quite halfway through the second season, and am enjoying it, but it hasn't convinced me to pay $130 for it (or even the $50 for the regular physical release).

If anything, both the Switch and PS4 still have collector's editions available, so people including myself can still ponder over it.

stop being fomo about it. the CE is catered for folks who have been fans when the show still aired. if you liked/wanted it bad enough, you would have ordered it already regardless of whether it sold out in the AM or not.

It's super early, but combat with Hulk and Kamala seems like such a chore. The opening sequence was fun and the boss battle against Taskmaster as Black Widow was really fluid and tight, but getting into the game just seems like a hassle, in my opinion.

I only got through the opening sequence and most of the way through hulk's section in the hulk/Kamala part before it crashed on me. idk why, but the controls felt a bit janky to me and I also didn't enjoy what I did play for the reason you stated.

Personally, I also felt the VA overall wasn't great for the main cast. Black widow and Kamala were the exceptions to this, but Thor especially, was terrible imo. Didn't sound like the GOD OF THUNDER at all and more like civilian #4 with slight nordic accent that comes and goes.

Check your email. They sent out a shipping update a couple days ago.

Personally, I received a tracking email for it already.

#14310735 Shenmue 3 with steelbook $19.99 Bestbuy.com (back again)

Posted by itzd4n on 01 August 2020 - 05:51 AM in Video Game Deals

Not everybody has a Best Buy, but everybody has a Walmart, and Best Buy's return policy is atrocious.

This whole logic is ridiculous. What's true for you isn't necessarily true for everyone else. I can get to 4 different BBY easily and the closest Walmart is at least an hour's drive away.

14 day Return policy is ass for those who only qualify for that, I will give you that much, but your restocking fee fiasco is, as you stated, a special circumstance local to that one particular store.

Feel better guy and maybe take a breather before bashing something while you are still unwell.

Yeah, the sailing in WW was fun for about 5 mins, and then as stated, it was much more of a chore than anything I would label fun for any length of time.

I feel this way about the sailing in the Assassin's Creed games. Ever since it's introduction in 3 or Black Flag and bc some ppl raved about it, they tacked it on to every game since. I hate being forced to always sail just to get somewhere, I wouldn't mind it as much if it was only once in a while.

Anytime you have to go to some random spot or island, you gotta jump off the ship or boat, swim over to land, go back to your vessel, and repeat or fast travel+repeat.

I want to play AC, not killer sailor.

Bloodstained was barely mediocre, with a story that made little sense and skill mechanics pulled straight from the DS Castlevania. I forget which one of the two, but it was the exact same, repeat kill a monster until it drops a soul for 100 useless abilities.

what part about it being a castlevania successor was lost on you when they clearly stated that's what they were making?

PayPal is the slower checkout option since it needs extra time to go through verification. LFT: you should never use Paypal for purchases on quick sellout items.

Second, reporting these listings won't do anything because it's not a presale where production is still waiting months down the line. Y'all forgetting these are in hand because cart production ended a while ago for NA.
