Yeah, the Duo sounds like it's going to be pretty great. With the way the custom firmware has worked out on other Analogue systems, it is possible that other CD systems might be possible to run on the Duo as well with future custom firmware. Likely just in the 32-bit generation range, but it is still interesting to think about.

For anyone looking to get some compatible controllers for these legacy systems, I encourage the 8bitdo 2.4 Ghz model controllers. They are very affordably priced, perform well, feel good, and usually look close to what the original models did as well. If you want a bit more flexibility, you can instead get the 8bitdo bluetooth adapters. They work as well, and provide a lot more options for connecting. They will provide more expense, though, as they typically go for around $20 each, and also require you to purchase a bluetooth controller on top of that. They are a particularly good option for anyone who already has 8bitdo bluetooth controllers, as they work with all of them.

When I got my Mega SG, I ordered a pair of matching white 8bitdo 2.4 Ghz controllers to go with it. The whole set is just gorgeous, and performs very well.

Tried to check out with the classic Super NT right when it went live. Would not add to cart for about 3 minutes of trying. Also added a black Super NT just in case. Waited 36 minutes in their "line" queue. When it finally refreshed, went to check out and it removed the classic Super NT from my cart saying it was out of stock. However the black Super NT was still there. At least I was able to get the black Super NT purchased. Another total fiasco on their website. Now all items are reporting out of stock.

I previously picked up a Mini NT Noir on the first round of availability, but at that time, it was available on their page for at least a couple hours. Once it sold out and they announced they weren't making any more it made this final Noir restock a big draw.

I had somehow managed to order an analogue pocket on the initial pre-order launch day. No problem with check out and I got past the infamous calculating shipping page. I saw all the angry posts everywhere right after so it appears that was a total fiasco for many. Not sure if I am going to bother with the Analogue Duo. Will probably be ridiculous to get a hold of too.

I think getting a PS5 and Xbox Series X on pre-order launch nights was easier. It's too bad Analogue's products are not more widely available on other retail sites.

They haven't said yet, a lot of the problem with analogue is the resell groups figured out there's money to be made so they're grabbing for it when they go up, Duo will probably be just as bad

Yes, all of the copies have that branding. It's part of the reason the release was so controversial in collecting circles. Josh claimed it was a mistake when Joe (the employee who created the game and released it) was making the cover sheet.

Why anyone would not only want to spend premium physical prices for these bad visual novel/interactive type games but also to "preserve" them as if they'd be worth something or even worth playing again down the line is absolutely beyond me. FMVs are one thing, but these hermit ones are a different story.

Also, Green Lava Studios sounds like something Limited Rare Games (i.e. Poop Slinger) would release. Limited Rare had been teasing an April 1st release for months, and then they put up a stupid TShirt. They probably decided to move the release to their bigger site (Limited Run Games) for their own April 1st joke. The game also doesn't appear to be part of their numbered PS4 line, and they don't mention it as a distributed title. Hmmmm. (And yes, I believe LRG is behind the shenaningans that is Limited Rare Games).

Two things here:

• The production updates page is maintained manually. Someone's going through and flipping these statuses. Presumably based on some criteria, but nothing public to us.
• LRG changed their production updates page in 2019 or so to be much less friendly go manually check (that was when I stopped posting shipping updates here). Prior to that it was barebones HTML pre-expanded, now you have to click on each individual item to see its status.

So while it's still technically the best source of info we have for production updates, that's not really saying much. It's all prone to human error and most of the time they can't be bothered to maintain it (as evidenced by the 150+ items with a "TBD" shipping date). It's still interesting to see the numbers in black and white, just wanted to provide some context to help with interpretation.

So.... Are you defending their inability to provide updates to customers?

Will Best Buy get the "Collectors" edition? No, they never do.

Will they get standard edition copies of Scott Pilgrim? Oh, almost certainly. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is THE big digital-only game from the past decade and change. There are a few other lost gems that have slipped through the cracks. But Scott Pilgrim is easily the highest-profile digital-only title to be delisted. The only way they could possibly make a bigger splash is with a physical copy of PT. The game is going to get tons of orders, and it's practically a foregone conclusion that Best Buy will be making their own order, and a sizable one at that. Scott Pilgrim standard editions will be available in-store and on-line at Best Buy, count on it.

Now that Scott Pilgrim is on the books, someone please get Konami to release a physical copy of PT.

I'm leaning towards waiting for BB to get Scott Pilgrim (PS4). I don't need an LRG card. As for the CE, generally no, I don't think BB carries those versions. Remember the BB versions have different covers of the game, too.

Only reason I might bite on it through LRG is because I'm pondering ordering After Party (PS4), which is NOT coming to BB. If I do that, I'm not sure there's much difference in paying shipping for one more game.

The thing is, this isn't always true. On one hand, you have stuff like the FE 30th anniversary that disappeared fast and stayed HTF. And then you have stuff like the Game and Watch SMB that's gone everywhere and then sudden not after release.
