Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition for (XBOX 360 only) $39.99 preorder at Amazon.com

Looks to be sold through Target, so free shipping isn't an option and sales tax still applies, but even then, my total was right under $45.

Here's the link:

I take it slim to none, since Amazon even has "see price in cart"

It has to be a mistake. Too bad I'm switching to the PC version, but I'm getting it cheaper with ECA vs tax/shipping via Target.

CA: 2.80 S&H + 4.17 tax = 46.96.

Too many games. Borderlands, Magna Carta 2, Dragon Age.

Le Sigh. Must....not.....click.

Yeah, same here. That's a damn good price but there are too many other games to play right now.

Got mine - tax bites but it's still way cheaper then the street price and I was planning to buy it day 1 anyway.

Just bought one and am going to trade in the regular version back. I mainly got it because I still want to play some of the DLC and it comes out about even, plus it should let me clear up some HD space.

If it's like the Oblivion GotY, it still installs the DLC to your hard drive instead of reading it off the disc.

Be warned, DPCI on the product page ties to the fallout 3 regular edition. You may get the game of the year but I wouldn't count on it.

Damn. I guess there is no chance that this applies to people that have already pre-ordered.

Comes out to $46 for me after tax and shipping... not too bad but I think I will wait for the price to drop since I've no time to play it now anyway...

Thank you very very much for posting this! I was hoping to find a deal before I caved and just bought the game, since overall you are saving a lot even by paying $60 for all the DLC etc, but I'd much rather get it for even cheaper :D:D

Just finished pre-ordering

I was just about to make this same post. The same deal applies to Target.com and, supposedly, Target stores as well.

I found it cheaper to go straight to Target.com

http://www.target.co...4186155-4109509

Also there is a promotion at USAVisa.com for $5 off $50
http://usa.visa.com/personal/discounts/detail/LampsPlus.com/vro_details.jsp?pageId=197&merchantId=10005&merchantName=LampsPlus.com&it=il_/personal/discounts/detail/L'OccitaneenProvence/vro_details.j

Have to add a filler to hit $50, but I just bought 2 Fallout:GotY

Estimated delivery: October 16, 2009 to October 20, 2009
Qty. Item Price
2 Fallout 3 (Game of the Year Edition) (Xbox 360)Video Game; $39.99

Subtotal of Items: $79.98
Shipping & Handling: $3.62
Promotion Applied: -$5.00
-----------
Total for this Order: $78.60

Pretty slick (since the original is still a bit hard to find under $40)

Your right about target.com, just checked. Wonder if I can wait and get it in the store for the same price, would save me about 2.50 in shipping.

Yeah, if this is for stores as well, it'll be an easy 39.99 for me.

I'm sure Amazon will match the price. I have promotional credit and ECA to throw on that sweet price with free ship/tax.

The Order Summary page still lists it as "Game of the Year" Edition, so if anything happens, I think you have suitable documentation to support sassin' Target's customer service. And at that point, the discussion isn't "sell me something cheaper", but rather "you accidentally mailed me the wrong item", which should be less of an argument.

Thanks OP!
