It's finally being released in the US on blu-ray. It's a great underrated film imo and price is right. Pre-order now for $17.49!

Release date 6/8/2010.

Im a huge Edward Norton fan, so i'll check this out. Added to cart, hopefully Amazon drops the price to 15 like other blues on release day.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yet it has a 68% on Metacritic: http://www.metacriti...t?q=illusionist

I didn't like it that much. Maybe a B- on my list. I thought it was too predictable. If you go in expecting it to be an A+ movie, you might be disappointed. But if you don't watch it expecting much, you might enjoy it.

Preferred The Prestige, but this was enjoyable no doubt. Not something I'd care about owning, though.

Eh, it's a good movie but not $17.49 good.

seconded, by a lot. the prestige is amazing and leaves this one in the dust, but this movie is still a nice diversion.

I thought i was going to like The Prestige much more. I mean, Batman and Wolverine in the same movie!?!? COMON!!

But once the end of the movie took a "cloning" twist i was out... Best part of Prestige was Bowie as Tesla.

I liked The Prestige more mainly because I'm a Bale fan, but The Illusionist is definitely a good movie IMO.

Hey, both are great films but you can't deny the star power in The Prestige. If they added in Johnny Depp, it would of been epic.

Illusionist hands down, but bonus points to the opponent for having Bowie as Tesla.
