Just recently I made a vow to myself that when I'm interested in a game, I will buy the most expensive edition of that game... So I bought this on launch day at best buy with fears that it'll be limited -_- ughhhh is there a way to know if these edition of games get limited release? Apart from the news

Thanks for the post, but uh, yeah... not much of a worthwhile endeavor given that it was OOS for all systems at least within 10 minutes of this post being made. :(

(beep beep) I see this post is no longer exclusively about the CE

Looking to sell codes for The Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja Kinect, together or separately. Message me with your offer.

Sorry about the CE being out of stock, updated for standard editions since 30 bucks still seems like a pretty good deal.

I agree it's a fantastic price (so soon?) but I'm gonna wait for a GOTY edition.

Ahhh, you're correct. Jumped up to $49.99 when doing the in-store option.

EDIT: $2.99 for shipping isn't horrible though. Still a good price.

I'll do the same...more people that do it the more likely they are to change the price.

Just assume it won't be limited. Publishers go through pretty great lengths to ensure demand is met. So something being rare rarely happens. Recent examples would be Red Dead Redemption (which didn't even have a collectors edition), and demon's Souls. The only reason these games had limited release is because pre-order sales were pretty low, and they ended up being sleeper hits.

Speaking from the 360 view, they have patched to such a degree that things are much improved from the way it was at launch (which was borderline unplayable in my opinion) but they are still enough of them to require constant saving. The first half of the game is fairly stable but it gets pretty bad after you get to vegas proper...so while it doesn't crash/freeze every 10 minutes like at launch, it now does it once every hour or so.

Incorrect. Red Dead Redemption had a 'Special Edition' which was the first full run of the game and provided a fancy cardboard slipcover:lol: and a downloadable content code in the package.

And Demon's Souls had a special edition which had a soundtrack CD, an artbook and a very limited edition strategy guide with it. The guide by itself sells for $50+ on eBay and has never been reprinted. Albeit the UK version released with another guide, but that was from info culled from the Demon Souls Wiki site and not the same one as the one from the US release.

i added a link to more wang pics. yu wang i mean not wang wang as in penis.

Thanks OP went ahead and got the PC version since the girlfriend has yet to go back and finish it on 360. I'll probably finish it before she goes back to it.

Kinda torn on this...

I really loved Fallout 3, but I don't want to get burned buying all the various DLC on the side when they eventually come out. I guess I will jsut wait for for the inevitable "complete edition" that will most likely be out in 6 months to a year.

same here, but you might want to ponder how much dlc got scrapped due to the extra effort they had to put into fixing stuff for the patches. I know they originally planned 8, and were hoping for 5 but considering it's nearly 6 months out and we only have dead money w/ nothing new mentioned.
