No, the second is $0.50 less, but the fact that they are charging $10 for an $8 figure....

Damn, I never realized they jacked the price up on the singles there. I bought the Legendary 3 pack and the Adventure pack that didn't come in the Best Buy Mega Pack there for B1G1 during the Black Friday sale, but had ignored the singles due to Gamestops sale on the singles and 3 packs.

Wonder why the powers that be didn't release more Skylanders figures before Christmas? Seems like a missed opportunity.

I was talking about the all in price. The net is $1.50 over buying 2 anywhere else.

Agreed. It makes no sense considering all other places still sell them for the normal price. I'm thinking they're just taking advantage of parents trying to buy them for kids before Christmas. What really sucks is that TRU seems to be the only place that even has sales on Skylanders figures.

I just wanted to bitch about their Skylanders prices as well. Fucking ridiculous. Dont buy that crap from them at those prices. It should be $20 for the 3 character packs and $8 for individual figures. Not $25/$10.

Its all good. Free Markets work out this kind of crap on their own. Its reasons like this that Toys'R'us was in bankrupcy a few years back with something like 6 billion in debt and I have no doubt whatsoever that they will be back in that same position soon enough. They can run around buying every toy company in the US, it wont make a lick of difference if they dont actually have sound a business model. More and more people are turning into bargain shoppers and more and more people are taking the time to see what the proper prices of an item should be. You cant have a business model that charges above MSRP and expect people to have any sort of loyalty to your brand. Likewise, you cant charge 16 dollars to ship 4 videogames and expect people to buy video games in your store. Its never going to happen.

Whats comical about all of this is that people like Storch and Friedman, the acting president and CEO, have all of this experience and knowledge yet dont have the common sense to know something that every last person in this forum knows, that nobody is going to buy games from a store that charges 16 bucks to ship 4 games. It really blows my mind. I would have loved to just sit in on the meeting where they discussed the shipping model that was going to be used for gaming. I have no doubt it would be highly entertaining. If I didn't know better, I would swear they were purposely trying to tank their online sales for gaming.

After the whole music bundle/coupon/fraud thing, I was serious about not shopping at tru. They have done nothing to make me go back on my word. Sales are meh at best and u would think that they would be trying to cash in on people using gift cards and/or looking for after xmas sales

What do you expect from them? When they charge $89.99 for Gears of War 3 Limited Edition, and it retails for $79.99. They have fell off something awful. After all my shopping(videogame-wise) I find that Kmart is probably the best bet for deals. They have the best Rewards Program. It's way better than, TRU, which is an utter joke. Still also better than Gamestop and Best Buy despite their revamped programs. Hands down the best.

Maybe it's the new MSRP for the game.

I'm still waiting for a good deal from TRU for skylander figures. I got the game recently, and I'm holding onto some TRU giftcards due to their recent deals.

Nothing to see here, move along!
