Only 3 VRAMS in that whole vomit of text

it needs at least 9 VRAMS

I could really expand more so on what I've typed more so up to 9 VRAMs and maybe SLI it, if I actually really wanted to.

I didn't even discuss SSAO settings, Texture Quality, Texture Filtering AA, LoD, and other things there - which likely also are going to also cause more major performance hits, especially when cranked-up.

Hmmmm, my prebuilt desktop fried last and rather than repair it I'm thinking of building a new one for the first time. A 970 is a good choice for a video card right?

Depending on your budget, I'd say this:

Any NVidia 900 series over with 3.5 GB VRAM or more should be fine for a decent while for you.

i.e. 4GB 960 version; 4GB 3.5 GB VRAM 970; or any of the 980 versions (4GB 980 regular or 6GB 980 Ti) - those should be fine.

If you go 970, just monitor your GPU memory w/ a program. If it has issues, turn down the the graphical settings a bit until it doesn't. Some of these games like Batman AK when cranked-up, they can crack over 3.5 GB VRAM easy.

EDIT:

Lightning struck the pole outside and fried most of my electronics. Some would be sad, but I see it as an excuse to upgrade everything without angering the wife.

Edit: The 970 thing was just toaster bait. I already know what I want.
Edit 2: Going for the 980ti mooby.

Enjoy the 980 Ti. That card looks like a major boss - should be, for the price and all.

With all this Hogan talk and retroactive removal... how far back are we talking about removing him?  I mean... if they can argue the destruction of Stone Mountain... the least they could do is go back and scrub a game from the 90's...

Spoiler

Looks like Arnold will be in WWE2K16:

@MysterD

http://www.forbes.co...-keep-fighting/

I'm too lazy to read it. If you can make me a small summary, I will appreciate it.

Edit. Easy english also if you can thanks.

The articles are all from 2014. Let's keep this in front here.

First article:

Forbes is trying to back-up David Cole of DFC's claim PC gaming sales are surpassing consoles on a global scale.

Consoles are becoming more like all-in-1 devices, causing more gamers to flock more towards PC...especially in Europe.

A lot of people are playing games on different PC devices - tablets, laptops, desktops, etc.

They cite Hearthstone as an example.

IMHO, Hearthstone is a good example of this: it's F2P works on many different types of PC's (low-end + high-end) & devices (Windows, iOS, Android, etc).

Competitive nature of sales of digital stores such as Steam, GMG & Origin are driving PC game sales WAY UP b/c they're fighting for selling games w/ trying to have the best price which leads to lots of copies sold (high volume).

IMHO - I'm not sure about the Origin part, but the other 2 sounds legit to me.

People on Raptr playing PC games are WAY up. 900 million PC users are on that service + players' PC game times there are WAY up.

Freedom of game-control on PC helps - i.e. many games now support both KB-mouse + gamepad nowadays.

Also read embedded article from David Cole, which has a lot more points of what PC games are selling well + being heavily played:

http://www.pcr-onlin...globally/033849

Embedded Article:

F2P games, MOBA's, MMO's, strategy games, FPS's are selling very well, being played a lot & are very popular on PC.

DOTA 2 + League of Legends are dominating.

Day-Z, Rust, Hearthstone are doing very well.

Europe's playing a big part in this b/c of the global scale thing.

IMHO - they've always helped PC sales for games globally, but looks like it's catching on even more so now.

are there deals to be found?

On the regular - sure, all the time. Keep on looking. Don't miss 'em, keep your eyes open. They come + go. Plenty of worthwhile Summer Sales been happening, on the regular of late - GMG; GamesPlanet; etc. Though, most of those are done.

There also might be some mentioned somewhere in this excellent thread:

Start w/ the OP and go through all 1049 pages. Enjoy.

That shit's too complicated. Ya'll console types are always doing backflips on a new moon on Tuesday with your cousins aunt's sister's dog to price match Target to Kmart to Walmart to return at Best buy with a membership to get a target card for 15% off to sell on eBay to sell on Craig's list etc etc.

I'd rather just buy shit cheap.

So much easier to just buy a game on GamesPlanet (or any other digital store); get the Steam key; download game; and be done with it.

Oh yeah. I'm sure they wouldn't know what the hell to do with a PC game if it smacked them in the face and intend to flip that shit on eBay.

[WANT]

Fallout Anthology case

[HAVE]

Bundle-trash games PC gamers don't want, but console gamers just converting to PC might want.

They had the 20% coupon then that stacked with the 75% off. That's still cheaper than it's ever been anywhere else <snip>

Yep, I know.
