I always thought the people that felt compelled to make "I'm new here!" threads were attention whores. Even worse are anime communities that encourage this type of behavior by allocating an entire sub-forum for people to make introductions.

I'm not really sure what the wish list does. I didn't find any documentation anywhere. I'm GUESSING it alerts you when a game goes on sale or something? Still, I'd appreciate an official answer on what it's role is.
