Got all my wave 5 preorders from Japan. Once again, pay a little extra save a lot of time and gas money. But then again, I don't buy them so they can sit in a box on the shelf.
It's just crazy to hear all the angst about the 29th. Unless you're just collecting there's no reason for it. I got the entire wave weeks ago from overseas Amazon. Am I missing something?
Glad to see other people are getting their import amiibos. I actually chose to buy those rather than even bother preordering here. They arrived last Monday, and while I paid a little more, it was worth not having to worry and waste energy, gas, and time.
My entire wave 4 is on its way from Japan and should be here in a week. I'm done wasting gas and time here when I'm just going to open them anyway. My eBay guy never lets me down either, which is way more than I could say for most retail stores in my city.
For lack of anything better to do I went at 11:15 to one Walmart in Omaha. They had 8 marios for 8 people waiting. All teenagers, likely all scalpers. I called another store close by and they didn't even have any. Its just not even worth the effort anymore.
There's still something about finding scarce amiibos in the wIld even though I have them. Anyone else feel like this? Found 2 mega man and 2 sonic randomly at a game stop in the mall. And no I didn't buy them bc I'm not a scalping s.o.b.
I'm about to say hell with it and just buy the wave 4 set on ebay. About 30 bucks a figure and while they're Japanese versions I could care less. My kids and I use them and Lucina is my daughter's favorite. (That is beyond awesome for me!) Anyway, I'm just sick of the obsessive compulsive...
My meta knight was also pristine, but I've only ever gotten one figure at a time from them. Maybe you run into issues with lazy workers who try to cram too many together?
