Yeah, I can see that I guess. My controllers sit next to the console when I'm not using it so it makes no difference to me.

There's an easy fix to get around the controller sync issues that seem to be happening to the PS3 Slims - turn on the PS3 first and after the XMB loads, press the PS button on the controller. It works every time.
