I was just going to say the exact same thing, this totally reminded me of the excitement and rush years ago when you had to be fast because every release was truly limited.
It's sort of weird and nostalgic... total flashback to the original Limited Run magic.
I kind of miss being able to order...
I received my first blowout sale order.
Thank you Limited Run for packing 5 games in a flimsy 12"x7"x9" box that arrived covered in dents plus crushed corners and only included 1 small piece of bubble wrap that didn't even touch all sides of the box. Yes, 90% of the box was empty and the games...
Had that in my cart but I didn't check out since I was waiting for Deathwish Enforcers... but oddly not one single version of that game switched from "Buy Digital" so I wonder if it will still show up.
They could do better!
For example: they just haven't found a good way to split an optical disc or switch cart into 3 parts to sell separately. When they do, you will have to preorder part 1, then the next year preorder part 2, then in year 3 you have to buy blind boxes until you get the missing...
I know this is an impossibility... but with the long wait times, it would be awesome if Limited Run could somehow include a digital version for the platform purchased. Would definitely make the wait incredibly less stressful and annoying.
I guess it would never work logistically since there are...
Can you share the real numbers then?
Also, since you are here, one thing that has bothered me is when totally different products have identical outer packaging.
Something like those Night Trap Vinyl alternate colors, I ordered the 32x yellow and Sega CD blue and they arrived in the same...
Holy crap.
The order I have been waiting 16 months for got a tracking number AND the carrier has the package.
...There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow...
Prompt delivery: "We will endeavor to ship your purchase promptly before two human birthing cycles complete (18 months). It is possible, but unlikely, that you will be able to have 3 complete children (27 months) before your order ships. Congratulations on your new family!"
Have to be honest, if some of these low numbers are accurate (and I suspect they are), Limited Run could be better off doing an actual Limited Run with an announced # of units and might actually sell more copies via FOMO for a lot of titles.
And if a title has a set limited number ahead of...
Significant chunk? I'm interested and I don't know where to look in the site code for number of units ordered, or where other interested people are posting the numbers.
So I am interested in being misled if I knew how!
Really.
