Yes the full amount has to be put down since it is an item that has already been released.

Gamestop is terrible and way too shady on rare items. I prefer to walk into Wal-Mart to pick up these items and are usually easier to find there. I would suggest checking your local Wal-Mart too, I went in yesterday and they had 4 for sale for the first time since the launch date.
