Can you eventually untie it from a preorder altogether and just transfer it to store credit?

I really wish I had pulled the trigger when they were doing those constant buy 5 pre-owned get 50% sales a couple months back...I have a whole cart ready to go now. I don't follow Gamestop sales that much, is there any expectation here that they'll ever run that deal again?
