Yeah, potential hardware defects aside, I doubt the Nintendo of today would go for a price cut, nevermind compensate with a bunch of free games.

My impression is that based on their fuck-ups historically, Spencer was big on being hands-off, especially with acquisitions. Unfortunately, this has led to a lot of mismanagement by the studios themselves. Need a more middle of the road approach.

Given the rumor mill about the Switch 2 having newer/better joycons and not supporting the old ones being attached to the unit, I'd hold off on buying extra joycons for now anyway. This is exactly my thinking. They were able to be cute last holiday and sucker some people by playing dumb but not...

Ok, seems the issue is fixed. Didn't have to change my IP or anything, so I just assume there was some sort of undisclosed outage.
