I have the cheapy penguin components for my Wii and they work fine. So make that 99% crap, son.

I am using the cheapest of the Penguin cables and they work great. It's a digital signal. You don't need premium cables - just a well manufactured cable. Just buy the cheapest one from Penguin and you'll have a fine pic and your wallet will thank you.

is this really what the clip on the CC is really going to be for? Or has something else been said about it? I just picked up a CC today and have to say the cable out the bottom didn't bother me at all during my 2 hrs of playing Mario 64

Never played/owned a game cube and I am looking to pick up a wavebird, memory card and a few GC titles. Have there been good deals on wavebirds and memory cards in the past? I'd like to pick these things up for as cheap as possible. Am I best waiting for deals or have prices for these things...

did you buy component cables or are you using the composites that came with the game? If it is the latter then that is your problem.

That would be nice. I am waiting for this to be in-stock at NewEgg so I can get the PayPal $15 rebate thing and then I am also considering selling the game on Ebay so my 2nd wiimote will end up dirt cheap.

I think you are right. I saw a couple people mention on another site that the Nintendo Store in NYC was selling them today and still had them in the early afternoon. I'm just glad mine is on the way as I don't want to deal with lines or going from store to store looking to see who has it in stock.
