Thanks for pointing that out - you (of course!) are correct on the price - I switched it yesterday, so our website should have been updated - but it didn't - so you helped find a bug we'll have to fix... It did correct the used price, but our new price didn't propagate correctly yet. Hmm...
You're right - we really need to get that fixed -- because even having that price ever shown (even if it isn't charged) makes us look bad. Thanks for pointing it out! You did get the Wii for 249.97 and a Classic Controller for 18.31. (tax was 13.41). Sorry again for the snafu on the price...
Thanks for the info! --- don't worry, though, I swear you were charged 249.97 --- I can reprint your receipt if you wanna see. But if you were charged over 249.97, I'll give you the difference plus 25 bucks for your trouble and my apologies. But what I show is 249.97. Why do you think you...
Dem, I bet he means that we have to use a yellow price sticker to show 249.97, and that the white sticker underneath shows 261.36. We've never charged anyone over 249.97, but that unused white sticker shows a higher price. We should ask the stores to override that price when receiving so that...
Thanks for the feedback - I'll definitely look into that. I see, for instance, that the Wii/Madden you originally brought to Lewiston was B graded and then two days later the same game (presumably) was C graded in Scarborough. We need to get our folks consistent on that, and additionally I agree...
Figured I'd post a quick update for you guys on what's going on:
Web Site:
You guys are correct that the website reflects the stores much more directly --- the 'instock' status on the web reflects in almost real time if it's in stock at any of the Bull Moose stores --- I know that's not nearly...
It will be totally obvious when it launches --- but I'll give you guys the heads-up when we've got a go-live date. It's in test mode now - and is light years beyond our current site - but definitely has a few usability bugs that we're working out.
Good idea on the delivery to the store option - we can probably pull that off. We're doing a "full cycle" test on the website this week, so it should be up soon
It's strange, normally when a console comes out, the consoles are in short supply, but you've got accessories coming out your a** because the manufacturers make money on those. But with the Wii, it has been the reverse -- I never would have thought we'd get allocated more consoles than...
It should be live in a few weeks ---
As for the shortage on Zelda, you're right, I'd be peeved if I thought I was going to get it and didn't. Luckily we're only short by 1 copy per store, so hopefully one preorder-er will want a game instead of Zelda... if not, the last person to preorder...
Zelda looks amazing... An FYI that I checked our tracking and our Wii's are on the ground in Maine now so they will arrive in time and in the correct quantity (i.e. every preorder's Wii system will be here) ---- but we ran into one snafu --- we'll get all the systems, but we're one short on...
We will have Wii on launch day...but PS3 we have not heard yet. I think the Wii will be stuck being that bundle I mentioned above (as we are stuck with that bundle), but we do have a decent # coming to Scarb. When we finalize the setup/price, if you want I'll post here and if anyone wants I'll...
The Wii we are 99.999438567394% sure we'll have on launch day. Street dated games we've been getting by street date (this is only about 1-5% of games)...the rest of games are release dated which means they "release" them on a Monday generally and some of retail gets them on Tuesday afternoon...
We received our allocations for the Wii system today. The supplier makes us buy them in a bundle, so we may have to also sell them as a bundle.
The bundle they make us buy is (list price):
Wii System (249.99)
Wii Remote (39.99)
Wii Nunchuck (19.99)
Wii Legend of Zelda Twilight (49.99)
That's...
