Why is is stupid to release a 3ds without 3d (that many people turn off) at a lower price point? Seems pretty smart to me, if they had a 2DS XL I would get one of those in a heartbeat.

That is not true at all. If you give everyone bad controllers all you do is increase the amount of randomness in the competition. The entire point for these high end products is that the inputs are more precise. Why should someone use a cheap 40 dollar stick when they can use a higher quality...
