It was on sale back in August. I wouldn't be surprised if it went on sale again, since I've seen other games go on sale several times (SR3 comes to mind).

Edit: It's $53.95 on Direct2Drive right now, and I'm pretty...
On the Amazon page for it, it says:
It's worth a try, or you could get a used copy for $18 + $4 shipping.
When you say 'destroyed' do you mean really scratched or actually broken? If it's just scratched you might be able to have a store near you that does disc resurfacing (or do it yourself).
I just saw Guitar Hero: Smash Hits (Playstation 2, game only) on sale for $19.99 at Kmart. It wasn't clearance since it was in the case with all the other games. YMMV, and it's probably this week only.
If you don't mind doing a little work, I would get an FM modulator instead of an FM transmitter. This one works great:

Try one of these instead of an invisible shield...

It ends May 21.
You need to be registered on nintendo.com to enter.
It looks like you can enter every day.
I found this on eXophase.
I have similar specs, and my 7600GT handles pretty much whatever I throw at it. It even ran Crysis (on mostly low settings).
Wait, they're actually making Geforce 8-series AGP cards?
