Looking forward to CAGcast 784 "The One Where the Gang Eats Crow"
After the Activision/Blizzard acquisition by MS, the gang spent the better part of a year castigating gamers speculating that MS would bring games/game pass to multiple systems because "MS doesn't buy companies to release games...
I have one girl in college and one will join her next year so they've outgrown that line(or LEGO altogether for one of them). We bought all manner of Friends sets right from launch. It's a fun line that they enjoyed. Seeing some of the newer sets from this year though while browsing? They've...
yeah, this is pretty unusual for LEGO. Bunch of Speed Champions on sale too, which are overpriced to begin with and getting another raise next year. Hopefully they'll be rethinking that decision.
Three of the five new Jurassic PARK (not World) sets are on sale including the Visitor's Center which is $40 off. I bought all three. I'm hoping the other two go on sale at some point.
T-rex Breakout, T-Rex Rampage, Star Wars UCS sets, Batwing.... none of which are labeled Icon that I'm aware of.
Last one I did buy was Pac-Man, which is Icon labeled.
I quit buying the modular buildings. I think the Diner was the last one I bought. The Bookshop was intriguing, as is the Jazz Club but I branched out into other expensive sets instead.
So they've rebranded the modulars line? All part of Icons now? Or something?
I haven't bought a modular in a few years because they've been pretty average but this one looks pretty cool.
$30 US for 1 car? They're fucking crazy. They just raised the SC line this year to $25. I do like the theme but come on LEGO, give the price hikes a rest.
Pac-Man is awesome. I don't buy a lot on release day but that is day 1 for me.
Also, not mentioned but World 1-2 hidden in the side of the NES console was just genius.
I put together Buzz Lightyear's spaceship the other day. That was a fun build and a real solid model. I still haven't seen the flick, but it's a gorgeous.
That's even worse. lol
Well for some damn reason people need to be taught that Nazis are bad again. So there's that I guess.
Those "sale" prices are still ridiculous.
LEGO needs to get away from piece count determining price and move more towards what value a set really has. Especially since a lot of these sets have so many 1x1 bricks in them. Is a bunch of black bricks in the shape of a head that does nothing but...
