Somehow the GameStop with the broken front near me has survived three waves of closings.
I suspect it's because the Halo 3 poster in the left window that has been there since 2007 makes it a historical landmark.
I understand that physical stores are not super profitable (especially as many as they have), but I will never understand why GameStop didn't try to become even a competent eCommerce site or branch out. They have so much cash ($4.6B+) they could really expand into any area they want and yet the...
One of my nearby GameStops had the entire front smashed by a car in an attempted robbery last spring and it's still boarded up (while open) and locked up at night with a pad lock. I wonder if they will just close the store instead of fixing it at this point.
Edit: This is on the east coast...
It appears that call of duty modern warfare 3 is on sale for $30 new but only for PlayStation 5. I let my PS plus lapse, so of course only the ps5 version goes on sale.
Thanks! It seems like my only option to get this $10 game with my coupon (since it's out of stock in store) is to order 10 of a less than $10 game and return them all. That's just an absurd way to live, so I don't know if I will bother. It would be fun attempting to return 9 copies of Wasteland...
Silly question, if I buy something only available on the website for $10 and then add something else for $60, use my coupon, and get free shipping, will I run into issues with the coupon when I return the $60 item?
They don't charge the refurb fee to wipe the console as long as I have been shopping there. The employee was likely misinformed. In my experience, they are actually required to wipe the console even if the customer already did beforehand.
Thanks everyone for the advice! No issue trading in my launch PS5 for $410. I placed an in-store pick up at a different store on the way home with my credit. It ended up being $46 out the door for the upgrade.
Dang, I did not think about this. So it's more like a $15 upgrade (not including taxes). I guess I know what I am doing with my afternoon. Thanks guys!
Trading in my launch PS5 for $410 to get a PS5 Slim and Spider-Man 2 for $450 seems like a great deal. I have been meaning to pick it up, so $40 seems like a solid dead just for the game code, not to mention the new PS5. I would also get a new warranty and probably a longer lifespan. It looks...
I called a local GameStop looking for a copy of a game that just released and the dude told me he can't look up inventory for games that released recently. That 's a new one.
I actually had no idea. Thanks for teaching me something. Regardless of that, you can ship very cheaply with USPS Ground Advantage. I sold a couple games on eBay and it typically costs around $3-4.
