The game is awesome, but it's definitely an acquired taste and cheaters ruined it almost immediately.

It was a wipe all. Most if not all save progress goes to the cloud anyways so nothing was that big a deal. Just the redownloading the games and logging into the apps. Most of those can be done pretty quickly through your phone though.

I had this happen to my Cyberpunk a year back. The only thing that worked for me was a factory reset on my Xbox. I know it sucks, but it instantly worked.
