Is there any remotely popular trading/selling forum for Lego sets? I have a few unopened sets I want to get rid off and I'd rather sell directly to others than eat the feebay fees. Obviously I know I won't get as much for them as on feebay, but I'd be more than willing to sell for the same price...

It's showing as sold out on lego.com with no availability or ship date. All the sets that I've seen go out of production had the same status. The set is also over four years old, way past the typical ~2 years after which sets are typically discontinued.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but the Fire Brigade has been discontinued. First modular building set to be discontinued since the Green Grocer. Never got around to picking one up, and kind of regret it now.

A lot of the time I also ask myself if the pricier sets are worth it. I own a few modular buildings, but I don't have a single Fire Brigade. It's simply not worth $150 to me.

I only recall Lego reproducing some sets from 90s in the early 2000s. It wasn't anything huge, out of the eight or so ships in the pirate line only three were reproduced. I'm not sure about the other themes as I don't follow them as much. Your best bet is to find one locally at a yard or garage...

If you would be willing to resell what you buy then I could use two Fire Brigades.

Just received an email about a BOGO 50% off sale at TRU. Majority of the larger sets are already out of stock.

They are backordered and sold out everywhere else. Isn't that usually what happens with the sets going out of production?

If you're buying from Target and have a Discover card don't forget to use shop Discover. Target is currently at 10% cashback, which won't make this a killer deal but will at least cover tax.

It seems like they would be discontinuing it prematurely. The set was only released in March 2010. Of course, they may just create a certain number of each modular set and then stop production. Once that number runs out the set is discontinued.

I heard the OOS right before the sale starts theory, too. So far, I was only once able to grab modular buildings during a BOGO 50% sale, but this ways almost two years ago. I remember it was somewhere near the beginning of 2010. However, this is when the BOGO 50% started at midnight. I just...

Can anyone explain to me why TRU is now randomly starting the BOGO 50% sales? The email I got said the sale will be on the 22nd and 23rd. When I checked earlier today there was no sale, and now it's in progress and the Pet Shop is gone already.

The Pet Shop went back in stock as the BOGO 50% off sale ended. Surely it was pure coincidence.

Did anyone get notification of the BOGO 50% off Lego TRU sale today? I just found out it's on right now, but of course both the modular buildings are out of stock.

It excludes Pirates of the Caribbean. The Imperial Flagship is just plain Pirates, plus it even says B2G1 free on its page.
