I don't know about the Saturn reference, but I agree it should have some collectors value down the line.

If its mainly the Frozen characters you're interested in they don't have a playset, only toy box mode, which means they have the same use in both 1.0 and 2.0.

Is Rocket worth holding onto as far as gameplay goes, or should I trade him for another character? As stated above, I also have Venom, Hulk and Cap....

Well I officially entered the world of Disney Infinity today! I'm on vacation in Toronto(live outside North America) and through some BOGO 1/2 and price matching of a Toys r US promotion managed to score via Best buy and Futureshop: DI 2.0 starter set Wii U( $36.47 with price-match )...

Disney 1.0 figures work with 2.0 in toybox mode only, their playsets are not compatible. For example, you can use Jack Sparrow in 2.0 toybox but you can't use the Pirates playset, same with Lone Ranger, Cars, Toy Story sets. And no, you cannot use 2.0 figures with the 1.0 software in any capacity.

Amazon hasn't announced their BF sales though, yeah?

Who had the best black friday deals last year on Infinity? I just made my first ever Infinity purchase yesterday, a complete used long ranger playset for $10. Love the little figures, I can see collecting those becoming addictive.

For me, the ability to resell a game will always trump the convenience of digital. I really have a mental hurdle about paying $30-40 on intangible data that I can't sell off to fund new games.

I think this comes down to what features are more important to the consumer, than looking at it strictly in dollars and cents terms. I 'wanted' a white Vita so that has an intangible value, and I'm not interested in the 3G so that feature is worthless to me. The 4gb/8gb card thing is also...
