Sony and Microsoft can only give away first-party content. It is up to developers/publishers to offer other content. A lot of free content is given out on PSN, but few people post in this thread, possibly, because the PSN Store Freebies blog is updated so frequently.

This blog has been pretty good about posting PSN freebies.  I've noticed, in the Xbox thread, they don't just post XBL freebies, they also post in-game freebies.  It'd be nice if this thread was active the same way.  For example, Rocket League offering free Halloween-themed vehicle customization...

There are plenty of PSN freebies. People just don't post in this thread, often.
