Somebody claimed on reddit that they can STILL redeem and stack PSNow prepaid cards. Anybody tried this? Or can feedback on the matter?

Stacking had been reportedly blocked. Does that mean if I have an existing 3-month subscription plan to either PSNow or PSPlus, I can't add a prepaid card to stack another 12 months to it? Is both affected? Or only one of 'em?
