I beat Xillia the other night. I think i still prefer many aspects of TOG over Xillia, but the story in Xillia is pretty good. I am about to start NG+ and do a quick speed run to mop up some of the trophies.
Its not you. I found the story in Graces to be fairly fast pace at first, and then it sorta hit a wall. I didn't want to put it down for the first few days I had it.
I am about to beat chapter 2 in Xillia. Like many have said, I found the battle system to be better in Graces, but the story to be better in Xillia. I also liked the skill system better in Graces.
About 45 hours into Dragon Quest VIII and I think I am going to call it quits. The game is just so slow. Ordered GOW: Ascension off of Amazon for $20. That should hold me over till Xillia.
I would mention Dragon Age: Origins, but the caveat is there is an opportunity in that game to court the supporting characters and even sleep with them (nothing graphic is shown during the sex scene). The game caught some fire due to the game allowing you to court the supporting characters of...
You are going to have a harder time getting tio Kefka if you skip them. Each of your three parties has to fight a boss or two in Kefka's tower before reaching Kefka. There are 13 characters you can get in the WOR, and each party can hold up to 4 people. With Shadow dead you almost have to get...
Only one there I have played was Crimson Gem Saga. I liked it at first, but then it felt kinda fetch questy. I got bored about 10 hours in and put it down. Traditional turn based RPG with either 3 or 4 party members from what I remember. Graphics were nice and the battle system was pretty...
If I remember correctly she keeps saying "i'm groggy". You need to leave the town and go do some more events around the WOR. When you go back to the town, the towns people will say she left the town and went to joodor. Thats when you go to joodor and find her looking at a painting, or something...
No, the list doesnt have to be limited to JRPGs. They just happen to be the type i enjoy the most. I don't like my games to be super linear. I also don't like my games to be so wide open that there seems to be a lack of direction. I find most WRPGs to be that open ended WTF do i do type of game...
I enjoyed 12 so much more than 10. IMO 12 had a great balance between story and side quests in the form of the monster hunts. The gambit system was ok and I liked the politically driven story. I want to actually replay 12, but I sort of want to hold out ot see if they remaster it first.
I decided to Start Rogue Galaxy. I am about 8 hours into it and just finished chapter 3 (the jungle world). I wanted to like this game but I am increadibly bored with it. I am beginning to think there is no hope for me. I am attempting to go through my backlog and it seems as if i don't like any...
