I just got one of those SSDs about a month ago and have been pretty pleased. The drives Read/Write speeds are noticeably slower than my Curcial M4 drives, but you can't go wrong at $50 :D I'll try to snag a couple extra for laptops.
I'd be all over the PS3 version. Too bad :(
BTW, the LE version of Castlevania is at $34 if anyone is interested: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ZG0FU7955
There will be a very slight increase but nothing to be concerned about.
It actually has less to do with the SSD cache and more to do with the updated hardware controller that allows it to be more efficient with using the cache. http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Harddrive is a pretty cool source...
It only helps for load times on certain games. I've only noticed a difference on Gran Turismo and Skyrim. Skyrim's load times are still ridiculous, but not as bad as with the stock 5400rpm drive. The PS3 only has a SATA I controller on it, which bottlenecks the speed gains from a SATA III SSD...
Definitely seems regional. I'm in TN, PUR Pro, and no coupon. Goes along with the GA CAGs that haven't gotten it. Where are the people located that HAVE gotten the coupon?
Received my ZOE from Gamestop today. Still no word on my order from Amazon. For those of you asking about the size difference between ZOE LE and MGS LE:
ZOE is wider and longer, but much skinnier.
