How would I know they put it on clearance?

I went to target in the Highland, Indiana area and went to go pick up NBA 2k11 for 360, this thread said 9.99, but the store is still ringing up regular price. The guy scanned the code near the game and it was still 39.99. Do I need to grab the DCPI # and take it to the store?

I'm on a huge JRPG kick, and it's pretty hard to find a few for the 360 recently. I'm looking for Magnacarta2, Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia. I live in Northwest Indiana, aka The Region. I'm looking for these in new or like new condition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
