On the flip side, I've sent in about 10 guitars and 2 drums over this past year and all but my PS3 guitars have been accepted. (They seem to auto reject PS3 ones since it requires a dongle..)

In my experience, if you cancel a trade-in that has already been confirmed, but not sent, and you chose instant pay - It will charge your card. It sucks. Don't do it. Ever.

I have had good luck visiting my local grocery store as soon as they open. Many of the employees stock up the shelves in the opening hours and they will let you take some empty boxes! Just be nice and kind and you'll be good to go.

Oooof. I hate that it auto selects the instant payment option. What a terrible terrible option. I did that at first with a $60 trade in and canceled it so I can throw in an extra game once. Then I look and I still have the $60 and it charged my card on file. Wtf!!! DID NOT WANT THAT AMAZON!
