why do cheapy and wombat keep saying that older movies aren't likely to look good on blu-ray because they weren't made with a high definition transfer in mind?
i'm not an expert, but since 35mm film has greater detail than 1080p you should generally expect any movie to look good in HD nomatter...
blu-ray copies of letters from iwo jima, unforgiven, and goodfellas would be a great excuse for me to buy a ps3. I would also get drunk and watch march of the penguins.
