Just got mine in earlier today and unfortunately all is not well. The shipping box was in good shape, however, the PS3 box was pretty dinged up. Also, it looks like the unit is a return because the system had a profile setup already and someone had cut the UPC off of the box. So I don't get...

The PAL 60GB PS3 was manufactured without the hardware BC I believe but the US versions should all have the hardware BC.

Platronics is the company that makes it and they've got a really nice line of headsets for use in telemarketing and such. The price for the Halo one isn't actually that bad considering other headsets similar to it cost like $70-$100.

I'd also like to say I had a great time playing earlier tonight. Some great teamwork and just all around fun. Once we figure out who amongst us has the uber connection, it'll be really on then :P Can't wait to see you guys out there.

The receiver unit has the expansion bays where you can plug in your headset and memory card if needed. Unfortunately, that does mean you're kinda tied down to how long the cord is on your headset and the length of the cord of the receiver if you're going to use the headset unit. Otherwise...
